Too late. That was 4 years ago. lol My attitude is if you're going to be a JW, then deal with it.

have any of you noticed how birthdays make you feel?
mine is ignored by my jw sister but when she turned 60 she called me the day before, the day and the day after wanting some kind of recognition.. why should i acknowledge hers when she ignores mine.
it does feel lonesome when the day comes and goes without a call or anything from the jw relatives.. i should be thankful that my hubby and children are not and have never been mixed up in that junk, but my sister is older than me and when i was born and she was so happy to have a little sister.

I was in for 16 years and did celebrate. I've been out for 21 years and I STILL have to stop to figure out how old I am on my birthday!

I took communication classes, with argumentation and debate. They were real eye openers. Also my General Psychology class taught me how the JWs and other orgs get and keep people all excited and working hard. It REALLY helped to free me when I learned about corporate behavior modification and something called "group think."
I'm a newbie here myself, but welcome. Whatever you do don't get baptized. You will regret it greatly. The control will tighten the noose.

this was posted on "james free" thread on why others people opinions were not respected here.
to which i said...... o.k.....lets look at the facts.
in general what type of people post here?.
I don't fit in any of the groups mentioned. I have been out too long to be that mad anymore. I've been out for over 20 years but didn't have the help of the internet at that time. Just read C of C and other stuff along the way. But it was great to find this forum and come to understand that there are a lot of people who have come out of bondage and more who want out all the time.

A couple I knew years ago got disfellowshipped for gossiping. And they DID gossip. Mainly at the donut shop during what should have been service time.

I FINALLY picked an avatar. It was a major decision. After all, it becomes the identifying mark so that people will begin to get an idea of who I am. Is this a lame post or what?
How did you all pick your avatars?
