i had a great dog as a child.. her name was butterscotch.
she was a mix of golden retriever and beagle.
i was recently looking at the following website, and looked up those breeds... discribes her perfectly.

Actually I have 4 Poms, down from 6, 3 Shelties and a Border Collie/Lab mix.
So I guess that makes me little, mouthy, intelligence and very loyal.

the story was kept hushed up, much as in any 'abuse' case that goes on in the wt world but, jws don't like anything to make the wt society look bad.. one jw woman out on 'the misery', reversed into and dragged down the street another jw woman who then broke both arms, ribs, pelvis etc.
infact, she is lucky to still be alive.
this horror was not announced at any kh in the country and kept quiet.
If something like that happened at my church, it would be announced! And we would pray for and visit BOTH parties.
When I was a young, impressionable newly wed (to a non-believer) the elders who told me I should respect hubby's headship also insisted that I drive our car out in service when my hubby had told me not to.
As you can expect, I was following the instructions of the stupid elder and backed into a hole, damaging the car and then of course had to tell my poor hubby I'd been lying by omission.
But it turned out ok. It was just one more thing that helped me to see the hypocrisy and GET OUT!

um, correct me if i am wrong, since i have never been, or will never be a jw....but what the heck kind of logic is this?!?

I found the verses. Daniel 10:12 & 13 tells it like this in the Living Bible...
The angel says to Daniel that his request was heard in heaven on the first day but the Evil spirit blocked the angels path or something like that. How in the *&&^% do you cut and paste on here anyway?????
Anyhow, that's the Scripture they always used to tell me to pray silently about some things. I've asked other pastors about it and some believe that way too. Who knows?

I was taught that too and it did have a basis in Scripture.
Someone (can't remember who) prayed and satan prevented the prayer from being answered in a timely manner. If it wasn't so late I'd call my daughter. She always know where most Scriptures are. I tried to find it but haven't yet.

i just got this in from ebay.

The article reminds me of Jim Jones and his followers.
So tired, so overworked and downtrodden, but still believing. So sad.
My mom was lured by the "Millions Now Living Will Never Die" campaign. That's what got her to start listening to her brothers and sisters-in-law. She died December 1, 2004. That religion split my family and hers also. Her stupid brother preached a funeral and used the Scripture, "let the dead bury the dead" that caused strife and hatred in her family for years.
Such a wicked, wicked waste. And what's really sad is that IF a JW read that today, all they would notice is the way the poor people were so "persecuted."
