by DoomVoyager inkeeping a straight face during the song is hard enough given the wacky lyrical content; the last thing i need is the "new sister" standing right behind me and loudly delivering a breathy, lispy, over-dramatic rendition of "stay asleep stand firm grow culty".
simon cowell is not listening in.
or how about that one guy every hall has who bawls the songs out, painfully out of tune, way louder than anyone else.

Recent Literature Letter Sent out -Bound Volumes
by stillajwexelder inbriefly it stated that all those who make extensive use of the cd-rom should seriously consider whether or not they need bound volumes.
these have to be next on the hit list of things cut imho

three huge volumes in a plastic bag.
it's my 3rd shipment this year, from various suppliers, i assume.

It's good to keep two thick phone books on hand. They're just the right height to use as a booster seat for a toddler.
When there are no phone books on hand I have to use the Aid to Bible Understanding or Volumes 1 and 2 of Insight On The Scriptures.

Whats the Craziest thing you've heard a JW blame Satan for????
by superman inas most of you know, that evil spirit creature known as satan the devil is of course after jw's and only jw's.
i can remember this middle aged lady at my old hall give a comment on how "satan works in the most mysterious ways against jehovah's people, he even has the teachers give out more homework on meetings nights so that he can make it more difficult for the young ones to attend the meetings".
at that time i was hardcore in it, and even thought this lady is a "looney-tune".

Borrowing from the stats as presented:
Don't go out in the door to door work because 14% of all accidents involve pedestrians.
Don't conduct return visits or Bible studies because 17% of all accidents occur in the home.
Don't drive/ride to the Kingdom Hall because automobiles are responsible for 20% of all fatal accidents.
Let's see....14% + 17% + 20%....that's 51%.
