  Our CO gave a talk to kids. Stay OUT of school!

  he wanted to talk to the young ones in the congregation.

  the main theme of the talk had to do with avoiding higher education.

  basically the main idea was this: witnesses are losing alot of young people here in the last few years.

  Gonna Be Authentic to My Witness Relatives - Send Pictures - Hell With It

  i've decided i'm gonna let the chips fall where they may.

  i feel it's part of my growth here on jwd and how some of you have taught me to stand up , and be authentic towards my relatives !

  don't worry, i'm not losing my mind - but since some of my witness relatives accept my wife and i since our marriage ( my parents) , yet a couple of my siblings waffle somewhat anyway ( my older ex-bethel brother and ex-gilead sister ) and are sitting on the fence towards me as a fader - i figured i'd just send pictures of my wife and my wedding to them, my parents, and my nieces and nephews as well !

  So- What do you folks think of this idea ? Just kill them with kindness as the expression goes? Be authentic , be real, and put the ball in their court if they want to serve it back to me ?

  1 Dead, Passenger Train Quarantined - Canada

  this one is interesting .... http://www.thestar.com/news/ontario/article/423330.

  a passsenger train carrying 234 people is stopped in northern ontario and quarantined after one person became ill and died.

  ten others are hospitalized with flu-like symptoms.. hazmat and cbrne teams are on site.

  ...mendacious...

  Ooooh, I remember that song! When we sang about mendacious men I pictured thin warty cretins with flowing capes and thick, dark eyebrows over long, pointy noses....scary!!!

  What the hell did they rhyme "mendacious" with and why????

  I think it was "efficacious" and I don't remember why...probably something about how God was going to preserve us from the warty cretins!

  I read the title of this thread, thought up my reply, clicked open the thread, and there it was already...happifying!

  That must have been the worst word in the history of the English edition!

  i am watching this documentary at the moment called "jesus camp".

  evangelical christians in america put there kids into this camp.

  a woman preacher just came on and screamed, "if harry potter was alive in the old testament he would be put to death!"..

  As long as he wasn't living as an alien resident in Israel he'd be ok. The Hebrew mission wasn't to purge the earth of witchcraft, it was just to keep Israel (and Israelites) "clean".

  so they're doing away with the book study?

  i thought that was the safe haven when the authorities finally banned the meetings at the kingdom hall and persecuted us (according to jw prophecy), meeting in small groups at people's homes.

  any thoughts?.

  That was before liability and lawsuits.
