  Legalism?

  ok...i sat and read the letter from bill's lawer to the elders and something struck me as...well...odd.

  since one of the things jesus was so hot about during his time on earth was "legalism" in the church, does anyone think he would look kindly on any church/org.

  that claims to speak his truth yet needs a whole legal dept.?

  nobody here wants to lived in the new earth aka the coming earthly paradise?

  nothing in the bible is symbolic, because saying things that are symbolic in the bible, is like calling jehovah a liar, god would not write something like in the bible, then out of no where, it really means something else... example: 144,000, some people said's that's symbolic, lol yea right.... .

  anyway it seems like no one here wants to lived in the new earth, my question is why?

  ok..nothing symbolic...the the JW's are STILL wrong...cause just a few verses after the 144,00 are mentioned it says they will all be virgan men too.

  Hi JG...

  I am in almost the exact same situation. I am also a non-believing husband and my wife (since 9-11) decided to go back to the kingdom hall. We have been married 7 years and she had left the first time before we met. we now have 3 children and I know the fights you are most likely haveing right now. I tried for 3 months to show her every thing I could to prove the JW's were a cult and false prophets. The result was pushing her further in. I have decided to simply love her and let god do his thing. As far as the kids go however...if you don't want them to go (strongly advised that you don't) then simply say so. She might not like it but have her ask her elders about it. That's what I did and they backed me up. If I said no they were not to go then...they did not go...as a matter of fact she can not study with them either...I don't know if this is what elders in other places will say but if you need more info, drop me a line via. e-mail.

  hey i thought i would let you all in on a secret...there is a program called trillian that will allow you all to use one chat client for aim, aol, msn, and icq.

  no this is not spam...i figure many of us use diffrent im services....and this prog allows you to connect to all of them at one time useing one program..... the link is http://www.trillian.cc.

  Would a JW Elder consider physical evidence?

  i was wondering if anyone could comment on the likelyhood of a witness elder considering physical evidence of molestation.

  so far all i am hearing about is the 2+ witness rule and i would like further clarification.. if sally-sue's parents walked up to elder marvin and said: 'hey!

  brother phaux raped my sally!

  Well I wish that it had been that easy for my wife and her 4 sisters. They were all being abused sexually/mentally/physically while they were groing up. A few of them at diffrent points in time over a period of years went to the elders. They only reported the physical abuse to them because they could prove it with the welts and bruses (guess even in there pre-teen and teen years they knew that just there word on the other forms would be worthless). It was ONLY after many years when the girls grandparents went to the elders did they listen. They talked to my father-inlaw (I swear...when he dies I will be attending the graveside with a gold plated shovel) who repented and then went home...very very angry. Never again did any of the girls say anything...cause it was the "good little tight lipped JW" mother that got his wrath that night. The abuse on the girls and there mother continued....and in many ways still does. If there was no statute of limitations or if my newly re-brainwashed JW would cooperate with the law I would slam his ass in prison. If the girls had not been taught that all people that are "worldly" were evil and of satan..then mabie they might have told a teacher or some one at school. The one thing I can tell you...after seeing what happened to there mother the one time the elders spoke with there father....they never spoke of it again untill they were safely out of his house.

  a question for all to consider is: if pakistan and india go nuclear, as seems to becoming more likely by the day, how long will civilization be able to stay intact without completely unraveling, and during that interval will ridiculers be able to maintain the delusion that nothing out of the ordinary is happening in the world?

  i mean in addition to being a pedophile paradise of course.. if you tell a country (mexico) that you are a cultural organization, don't use the bible, or sing, or pray, and you do it for money, then what are you?

  i mean you hate all cultures of "the world" so you lied about being a cultural organization, you aren't a religion or you wouldn't have denied your god, your bible, and your prayers.

  i guess when you consider the deals made in bulgaria, and the rapid hiding of resources and then campaigning to change the votes in france you could qualify as a political organization.
