  JWs Assigned to Fetch Lost Sheep Here?

  i have been pondering the whys of jws who regularly, and not-so regularly post to the board.

  the possibility then struck me that maybe they are assigned--have special dispensation--to associate here in order to retrieve any "misguided" or "lost" sheep and bring them back into their fold.

  or are they, thenselves, on the edge, wanting the freedom we now have?

  I am very glad too see that you have decided to think for yourself and separate the org. from jehovah. I think however that you may be the exception that proves the rule. My mother in-law was assualted by an elder that took out to "shepard" her and tried to get down her pants. long story short...he got a "severe talking too" by the CO and nothing more. He has not admitted to it and so nothing else has happened. I asked my mother in-law why she did not go to the authorities and she said "I do not want to bring reproch to Jehovah's name". Most "rank and file" very clearly equate the org. directly with Jehovah. Incedently I told her that if one person mugs another and they both happen to be cathlolic, you never hear that in the news report...(unless of course it has something to do with the motivation). The very simple fact is that the vast majority of JW's simply put the "organisation" and jehovah at the same level. I never have been a witness and can only see this as a form of idol worship.

  Keep up the freedom of thinking flowerpetal....you have the true meaning of a relationship with Jehovah...no matter what the religin may be.

  the do-not-call site is back online and simplified for ease of use.

  there is still a lot more to do but from the public's point of view, the site is functional - they can stop jehovah's witnesses calling!.

  i'm looking for accounts of shunning and family distress caused by watchtower policy that are suitable for posting on the site, if any of you have already shared your story here, and would be happy to see it over there, perhaps you'd be kind enough to post the link?.

  Weird??

  hi folks,.

  this is kind of strange, everyday i find a penny, on a parking lot, floor of a store, driveway, or whatever.

  yesterday i hadn't found any money, i didn't think about it until i started to get in bed.

  either the ann landers or the dear abby collumn has an ongoing thing...pennies from heaven. readers write in and tell of loved ones passing away and then they start finding pennies in very odd places. I cant remeber any of the stories. I do remeber that after reading them i allways say.."wow neat" to myself. Anyone have those kind of stories?

  11. since the wts claims "apostolic succession", can it trace its roots all the way back to christ (mt 16:18)?

  if so, who was it that "passed the torch of god's spirit" to c. t. russell when he founded the organization?

  What I have noticed is that the JW's must jump through a massive tangle of hoops and use there altered bible in order to back up there doctrine. Yes the JW's can use scripture to back it up...anyone can make scripture fit there doctrine. I make my doctrine fit the scripture....and well, when I read the bible, on it's own, I sit and wonder HOW can the wts come up with this stuff??

  of course the wts is the one that said if you read the bible alone you would fall into darkness.

  but all this does not matter to me...what matters is that this is an organisation that allows NO FREEDOM to see things a diffrent way. There is also the issue of the "un-noticed" effects that the WT has on it's followers. My wife has started going back to KH last Sept. and there are 2 very noticeable things I have noticed. Now I once had an elder tell me to look at the "fruits". Well the fruits I have noticed so far is that my wife's doctor has had to up the dossage on her prozac (her depression is at new highs that I have never seen in the 7 years we have been married) AND she barely takes a shit without permission from the elders or the lady that she studies with. So you go ahead and argue all the doctrine you want....I have seen the fruits You Know...and they are rotton!
