LOL! Thanks for the welcome. I've been out of the collective for two years now, managed to bring my wife with me and several friends. Still working on others. The BORG are not invincible, they have a weakness which can be exploited. I feel a strong bond of unity with all of you, what we know and have been through is unique, people don't understand, so it's good to be with people who do.

I've read this book, great logic and reasoning especially the section on how to talk to and teach a witness, never thought of that before. Only criticism is the layout - very hard to follow with little notes and references all over the place.

love bombing is not love and never will be, when it dawns on a person that the love is not genuine then there is no reason for them to continue.
this is the society's nemisis and it is purely of their own making.

Which begs the question... why? If they want a dynamic growing, ever expanding organistaion to bring the in money then why are they doing this? I would have thought if they relax all the rules and encourage genuine love then bingo! its a win win situation for them. How many of us would have left if it was a non judgemental, open and loving organistaion?
Looks like they are hitting the self destruct button to me.

Whats the funniest thing you've ever seen happen in the KH?
by shell69 ini remember being a kid and we didnt have the fancy fabric seats, they were plastic stackable chairs all set out in the usual lines.. an elderly bro, rather rotund, farted, the noise so loud and thundering against the plastic seat!
or the time when i must have been about 7, my dad brought his bible study family to their first ever meeting, i had to sit on mums knee.
i recall giving the daughter of the new family a very vigorous v sign during the meeting.

We were in the second school (small room) and a brother was just about to start his number 4 talk when someone did LOUD fart. He could not continue with his talk for laughing and had to step down from the podium.

The greatest thing that is holding this organisation is the LACK OF LOVE.
Love bombing is not love and never will be, when it dawns on a person that the love is not GENUINE then there is no reason for them to continue. This is the society's nemisis and it is purely of their own making. How long can you pretend that a bunch of two faced backstabbing hypocrytes love you? Genuine love, genuine friendship will last a lifetime not the lifetime of your religion.
My own experience and anecdotal evidence from others seems to suggest that this trend is on an ever increasing downward trajectory.

The WBTS is ripe for a takeover but this will be no orange revolution. This is a Billion Dollar money machine, it's bound to attract some very unsavoury characters. The governing body are all getting very old. Who will take over and run the ship?. Think Rutherford, the sort of men who rise to the top of these type of organisations are egotists, sociopaths and arse kissers. Men of conscience like Raymond Franz and others will be discarded and beaten down.
