  Latest Watchtower Magazine Increases Odds of Surviving Armageddon!

  99% of all jw's believe and are taught that to survive armageddon that you must be a jw or as a minimum be.

  associated with the jw's.

  however the april 1 "public" issue of the watchtower has some interesting wording.

  The members of the Governing Body may be (and in fact are) a dishonest and power-thirsty bunch, but they are no fools. Now, the double issue of the Watchtower starts making sense.

  Galileo, thanks so much for sharing your story. I am living a similar situation. Parts of your story are a very accurate portrait of my actual life. It is becoming increasingly harder for me to give talks. I will soon step down as an elder. It will not be easy, because I am married and have several children, and my wife is a die-in-the-woods witness, whose entire family is in. Your post provides me with even more assurance that my case is not unique, which helps me add up to the level of courage I need to walk away from the cult.

  One more thing: I suggest that you seriously consider writing a book. Your prose is delightful and entertaining, especially your shift to atheism while still inside.

  I still keep asking myself what was their secret purpose behind the association. And then they have the guts to say that such association was not secret. But, if so, why isn't it explained to the congregations via regular publications?

  i wonder how aware the jw blue collar workers are that they are inflicting a psychological/emotional death on many humans as they preach their belief system!.

  are they aware how much suffering they impose on others whole lives who freely gave of themselves?.

  how aware are they that their natural compassion is neutralised by the white collar jw higher ups?

  Eventually many of them will remember or realize they are indiviuduals. I think many of them have done just that already, but we all know how difficult it is to admit it.
