what is up with the site lately?
first i get a basic blue site that is unoike what i have encountered before and now ai am getting a complete site but it is so small that i cannot read what the links are, and mouse-overs do not work.
I'm using IE 5.5 on Win 95, and the site is unusable. The text is microscopic.

i am wondering , with the world situation that way it is, could we be living in the last days?
putting religion, and personal beliefs aside, are we are the brink of all of this coming to an end?

a while back there were some postings asking if miracles still happen today, so i thought this latest story from my life would be appropriate.. my husband's friend from work lost his father to cancer, shortly after that he lost his wife, also to cancer.
a few months ago his teenage son was diagnosed with bone cancer and not given a very good chance of survival.. i don't know this man, only met him once, and i never met his son.
but something inside me just made me so angry, and my heart so heavy -this could not happen.
I agree with your sentiments...however, the point I was making was that secular as well as religious people can provide "evidence" that there is a "power" in prayer
And the point I was trying to make was that there is no such evidence. Tabloid reports of results of studies which claim to show proof of the "power of prayer" do not constitute evidence, any more than the kind of "miracle" described above.

There will always be more than the average number of trolls on a JW message board, because JWs are trained to troll. Their main mission in life is to go to people's houses and bother them, ostensibly to discuss the bible, but really to "get their time in." It should not be surprising that they carry this horrendous habit to the Internet.

is there such a thing as sin?.
my dictionary defines sin as:1the breaking of a religious or moral law;an act that does this2a serious fault or offence.. but to have moral laws or religious codes you need to have a law maker, someone to define a sin.. if like me you doubt the existance of a creator , who decides what is moraly right or correct?.

Even the mainstream press has printed articles on how medical professionals believe there is evidence that there is a "power" in prayer (call it what you may).

i am looking for more scriptures that can prove to a jehovah witness that god is jesus, and jesus is god.i found only one verse so far in 1jo:5:20: and we know that the son of god is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his son jesus christ.
this is the true god, and eternal life.. if you know more scriptures that say directly that god is jesus please tell me the verses the jhw will see plainly that jesus is no way an angel, and he is jehovah god almighty.. my friend said if i can prove by the bible only that jesus is god he will leave the jhw society, and he will know that they are teaching lies and they would be to him a dogma religious sect.
my friend gave me a booklet called should you believe in the trinity?, and is jesus christ the almighty god.
1Jo:5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
It's not hard to read that in a way that suggest God and Jesus are separate individuals. It certainly wouldn't change anyone's mind.
I must ask, why do you believe Jesus is God if you can't find any scriptures to support such a belief?

It's a pity God never answered such prayers before humans developed the techniques to successfully treat such patients.

dear people, i posted my first post on anointed witness has no doubt stating that i have the heavenly hope and was seeking others.
many of you responded and i read all your replies.
i am lonely in terms of knowing few other young anointed and being an active witness, so this makes me an oddity among you and in my cong.. mnay also wondered why i was on this website of ex-witness,.
I really have to not care what others think about my intentions. I am an active auxilliary pioneer, and if others knew I was on this website it would raise quite a few eyebrows and trouble, but I am risking that to listen to you people.
