06/01/2008 - every significant internet provider around the globe is currently in talks with access and content providers to transform the internet into a television-like medium: no more freedom, you pay for a small commercial package of sites you can visit and you'll have to pay for seperate subscriptions for every site that's not in the package.
what can we do?internet providers have realized that the only way to not lose massive amounts of customers over this is to make sure there are no alternatives, that's why all major internet providers are currently making agreements and planning to switch simultaneously somewhere in the year 2012. this is currently all going on under very strict nda's (non-disclosure agreements) because the last thing they want is the masses speaking out against it.

What-A-Coincidence:
At least you have one thing going for you: you are consistent in your ability to believe anything as long as it is transparently false. It doesn't seem to matter whether the subject's religion, science or politics, if someone comes up with a hypothesis that's obviously complete nonsense, it's almost a dead cert that you'll be there to champion it.
My fault for clicking on the thread, I suppose. I mean, what was I expecting?
simply put...i believe there is a god..and his name is yhwh aka jehovah..and his son yeshua or yehoshua aka jesus..died for our sins as a propitiatory ransom sacrifice to antone for mankinds sins..i therefore am also a creationist...i do not believe science contradicts the bible...rather i think it agrees and compliments it rather well.. .
i am creating this post in response to comments made in my last post by the poster named "parakeet"... i just thought i should explain myself before he/she starts deducting praise from me (see my last post)..lol...alright here goes.
i grew in a small town in florida called macclenny..population- 20,000.. my mother and her family were raised in this quaint little city...my family on my mothers side has been in this city since the early 1920's...ok...lemme me get to the meat of the story.. .

your summation of my thought process...is no different in nature than the apostates thought process toward apostates and "independent thinkers"
That doesn't make much sense as you'll probably realise yourself once you read it. (Tip: I find it's a good idea to do this before posting as it helps one avoid looking like an idiot.) At the risk of further invoking your ire, I'm going to assume you meant "no different in nature than the JWs thought process..." as it's the only thing that fits syntactically. While that change is sufficient to make the sentence comprehensible, it now appears to be little more than an easy shot poorly aimed. Comparing someone to the Watchtower or JWs or any aspect thereof is a little like this board's version of Godwin's Law.
Anybody who reflects on your statement (well, the statement I'm forced to assume you intended to make) for just a moment (and I highly recommend doing this before posting too) would realise that there's no substance to it. I don't believe your story because it's complete nonsense unsupported by any evidence. I will not shun you for it, I will not try to silence you, I don't believe you're motivated by evil intentions, in short nothing about my criticism of you corresponds in any significant way to JWs criticism of apostates (except in the trivial sense that both are criticism).
You stated that i said, demons were the source of anything even remotely mysterious and had been my standard explanation for years as to such things...I ask you to please go back and quote where i said such a thing
Perhaps you haven't read any of your previous posts either. This entire thread is about a series of mysterious happenings that you have for years attributed to demons. But of course there may have been other mysterious events in your life that you did not attribute to demons, so your predilection for that particular non-explanation may be confined to the locality of your grandmother's house, So I apologise and will reframe the statement: It seems that demons are (and have been for years) your standard explanation for anything mysterious that you believe happened in your grandmother's house, whether you experienced it or not, although I concede that other allegedly mysterious things may have happened to other people - or even to you - there, for which you chose some other explanation. In any case, it's clear that you expect mysterious things to happen in your grandmother's house and that you expect demons to be responsible for them.
you saying that is akin to the way the society misquoted various scientists in the creation book...
No, it's not at all like that, not even a little bit. Not everything that makes you feel bad is like the Watchtower making you feel bad.
now lemme deduce the reason for you doing that...
AWWW I got it!!! You want to strengthen your augment, by twisting my words to sound as outlandish as possible
Your powers of deduction are about as good as would be expected from someone who deduces demons when he hears what he thinks are footsteps. I've no need to twist your words. They are sufficiently outlandish without any interference from me.
typical workings of an inept mind...
I think you may be projecting.
refer to my previous post on possible scientific explanations..
That's hardly something you should want to draw attention to! As I wrote before, obviously scientific investigations can't be as exhaustive as you demand they should be, nor would a reasonable person expect them to be. All you have done is to declare that the scientific investigations weren't actually done on your family and the experiences you claim they had, so therefore they can't tell us anything.
here you go...Unfortunately, I did not challenge science...your scientific responses challegened me..simply put...
That's one of the purposes of science, to challenge claims made without any evidence. You will find that the more outlandish and unverified the claims you make, the more you will be challenged.
NEITHER SCIENCE NOR RELIGION DEFINITIVELY PROVE...SCIENCE AND RELIGION ONLY DEFINTIVELY PROVE THE ONE SEEKING THE TRUTH
What a way to finish. Unparsable nonsense, and all in capitals as well. Bravo!
the watchtower promotes dependency and conformity, which is exactly what "the serpent" wanted from eve, dependency and conformity to its thoughts.
S3RAPH1M:

Not at all. The serpent promoted independence and nonconformity. He revealed to Eve what YHWH had hidden from her. At no point did he try to coerce her into following his suggestion, unlike YHWH who used threats to force Adam and Eve to conform to his thoughts, and continued in the same pattern throughout the bible.
so, the long awaited trip began for my son and i to return to the same place he heard a bigfoot a year ago in the forests of northern california.
the trip started out unfortunately for us to be a 7 mile hike instead of a 2 to 3 mile hike in to our base camp , as huge snow drifts covered the road , making it even inaccessible for 4 wheel drive, so , with packs on backs we hiked over 50 ft long snow drifts on places on the trail.
even snow was covering one creek near the lake we were destined for .
but I have seen photographs of them and motion videos of them
Haven't we all?

So there you have...my footsteps story...whether you believe or not...makes me no matter...I DO...and thats whats important
What's not to believe? You thought you heard footsteps and it turns out you were mistaken. I can believe that happened.
What's more difficult to understand is your thought process. You heard a noise which you initially believed to be your grandmother's footsteps. When you discovered that it almost certainly wasn't, you decided that the only other possible source of the noise was demons, which you believed in anyway as they had for many years been your standard explanation for everything even remotely mysterious. The apparent existence of mischievous invisible creatures then causes you to believe in a very specific deity (although, in reality, this was merely the deity you were indoctrinated to believe in).
Your challenge for science to simultaneously disprove all the diverse claims of "woo-woo" is as ridiculous as the claims themselves. All that can be done is what the likes of Michael Shermer have done, i.e. disprove individual claims on a case-by-case basis. There will always be someone else with an overactive imagination who will say: "OK, so that 'haunted house' turned out to be due to some dodgy old plumbing, but this one house is really haunted.,.," and it should be obvious that the burden of proof does not lie with those who doubt these fanciful claims, but rather, with those who make them.

Well, of course you didn't. You've never seen a Bigfoot.
