Events leading to Great Tribulation
by proplog2 ini have believed that the great tribulation begins with some sort of nuclear attack on the united states.. events are emerging which increase the probability of such an event.. the archrivals at the end scene are the us and russia.
russia is in a dire state.
its economy hangs by a thread.

Why dont you two find the middle road: God started Evolution.
There, now you both are happy........
I think you'll find neither side is happy with that 'compromise'.
It seems ridiculous to invoke a supernatural entity for one little act of abiogenesis. That deus ex machina approach never sits well with skeptics. If you mean that god actually directed (or directs) evolution, then that abolishes the need for or possibility of natural selection, the cornerstone of modern evolutionary theory.
A god would have to be cruel or at least pitiless to allow progress to happen in such a slow and brutish manner. If humans are simply primates with very evolved brains, then it's hard for fundamentalists to argue that God has any interest in us. And a god who uses such an inefficient means of creation is hardly awe-inspiring.

Of course! The prophecy was written thousands of years ago and it refers to a king. Obviously therefore, that refers to events that are happening right now involving a terrorist leader and a completely unrelated group of religious leaders. How could we not see it?!?!

That is "putting the cart before the horse". The way it's supposed to work is this: first, you gather evidence, then you test the evidence, and then you believe based on the results of those tests. Believing first is irrational and completely senseless for reasons that should be obvious.

Do dreams mean anything?
by Bendrr ini don't normally put a lot of stock in dreams having great importance.
it's extremely rare that i have nightmares and also not uncommon for me to go days or weeks without dreaming at all, at least that i'm aware of when i wake up the next morning.. what does it mean to have recurring dreams in which i'm back at home living with my parents and in the dubs?
last night i had a particularly disturbing one in which i was back home with my family in the home we lived in way back before i was 12 and in the dream for some reason that never came up i was going to be killed and they didn't care.

God CAN and DOES make people believe if He desires...go ask the Apostle Paul.
Which means, if we don't believe, it's God's fault. He obviously doesn't want us to believe in him and would therefore be unjust in punishing us for not doing so.

Part of successfully playing the game is realizing that enlightenment about God and his purposes comes from Holy Spirit granted those who like myself trust and believe in him. I have tested for myself my inspirations and have determined they are from God (true). I invite evrybody else to do the same.
But how do you know that's not all part of the game? How do you know if you're interpreting the programmer correctly? How do you know the programmer himself isn't part of the game, programmed by some even more powerful meta-programmer? What if the way to win the game is actually to act independently, to stick a finger up at the programmer and live as we please? If you're merely a programmed automaton then how can you test whether your "inspirations" are from the programmer, or a hacker or just a bug in the program?
