Is 2034 the ultimate Watchtower date?

a recent wacktower had hinted that the year 2034 would be the final date for armaggedon.

if armageddon has not arrived by 2035 then will the wts close shop for good or will they simply accuse the past presidents of apostacy and regroup to form another daughter of the tower offshoot baseless religion?.

Well it has been circulating in our area since 1995. If nothing happens the tower will not fall, they are already semi preparing for this situation. The whole 1914 (aside from the Rev book) is being less and less mentioned. Up until last year it appeared that the legal department would eventually take over but with the May QFR and the Kool-Aid WT it seems that a deal has been struck between the departments. Yep they all get a win, Service gets to limit production, lay-off bethelites,and close and sale properties(saving $$$), Writing gets to isolate and futher control the "sheep", and of course Legal gets to keep protraying JWs as mainstream. So if the GB/ Writing dept decide to press the 2034-2035 issue then it will be limited to "publishers" only and not the general public. And the average R&F Publisher can easily be replaced with new converts. The only good that will come of this is the lifting of the blood ban, expect that when there are only JWs who were baptized 1985 and after.

was there a 1975 "scare"

ive heard through different research ive done along with people ive talked too that there was a 1975 "scare" in which the time was supposed and the end was at hand

!..just got back from civilization!......my friends had a party for me while i was there..and..one of them bought me a present.....500 shares,in wbt$ owned rand cam engine corp!.....outlaw is now an official stockholder,in the rand cam engine corp..lol!

!......the association of the wbt$ with the united nations -ngo,was scandalous!..the huge wbt$ pedophile problem is obscene!.....the watchtower bible and tracy society`s 50% ownership of rand cam engine corp.is unthinkable!..and..i`m their newest stockholder!.......who say`s life isn`t fair?....lol!

Wow I haven't heard about that one for a couple of years.

My favorite thing in the WTBS response letter is how it is not a direct denial. Kinda like that demon book they ordered and received and wrote a thank you note for then denied the book was in the library. Nothing like theocratic warfare!

On a scarier note I am still wondering how the WTBS got the SEC to yank it's name off? Talk about influence.

sister in service in PANTS!

this morning we saw a pair of jw women in service.

nothing remarkable except that one of them was wearing pants.

LOL.....I love my pant suits and have many....really why should I have to go and splurge on Kingdom Clothes Dresses. I don't work in an occupation that requires dresses and I have little ones who require me to bend over and get on the floor a lot. Besides did Jesus ever stop and say hey I gotta dress up to preach or hey Paul what is with the Kaftan? It is strictly a dresses and suits faith ! No as I recall it was something about being there to call the sinners and unrighteous. Obviously Jesus forgot to consult with the GB! ( of course he is now facing a JC) LOL

Only one Elder dared to speak to me about it.....( A 30ish convert who had been a JW less then 5 years)

I told him and that I would gladly stop wearing them if he could

A. Find it scripturally that my lilac with scallopped lapel outfit was wrong

B. He had to agree to purchase a similar outfit and wear it all day (pearls and high heels

included) to Work and TMS!

The little coward still avoids me like the plague!

Elders really can keep personal matters confidential, right?

less than one week after meeting with two elders who had been told of my visiting this site, a good friend called me.

he said his mother (age 73), in a different city from me, called him and told him she heard i was now an apostate.

now how the hell did that happen?

Did you tell them you found that most here felt they have been abused, stumbled and treated badly, by "evil slaves" and that you were researching the best way to bring us back into the fold. That not all are DFd. Did you keep record of your time spent here (so you can report it). Did you remind them that the WTBS has been telling us for years to expand preaching avenues. Mass mailing, cold calls, storefront/ mall witnessing and the very rare impromptu witness. Certainly in an age of Information reaching out to such stumbled souls should include the various media outlets. Did not the early FDS use phonographs. Why not start avidly expanding the preaching medium to include the internet, ads that run before the previews of movies, TV commercials (Damn the LDS they beat us to that one!) , maybe another documentary or a sit-com (after all the legal dept wants us to appear mainstream anyway) etc etc.......

Did you explain that fishing for men is easier if you know where a stocked pond is located. That you felt you could get such ones to contact their local KH so as to start studying again! That you were "following the Christ" by looking to call on the unrighteous. Above all this, to assume such awful things about you shows a lack of faith in you and their sheparding skills.

I strongly suggest you arrange a meeting with these blabber mouth elders as well as at least 2 more elders from your congregation. Explain how disappointing and stumbling such behavior is to any sheep. Defend yourself with the above arguements.

If of course none of the above is your actual feelings...then consider it "Theocratic Warfare", telling only those who deserve to know the truth.........(if Eldums are are going to slander you....are they deserving to know the truth?)

Finally I have posted it many times but.....

Paul said in 1Cor 7:23 "to stop becoming slaves to men" surely no elder could refute such fine Biblical counsel from one of the Original FDS!

i've heard the jws referred to on this site mostly as a cult.

as such, am i the only one who fears that one day the society will tell them to eliminate all of us who have been deemed apostates?

i can think of several of my old "friends" who would not hesitate to take me out.

Nope.

However I remember a post fearing that the WTBS would hand their members over to the NWO (via UN relationship). As someone else put it "Singing Kingdom Ministry Songs all the way to the Gas Chamber". This latter has more potential then a mass Apostate massacre. Remember JWs don't associate or speak to Apostates much less dare to visit internet sites not "approved" by the Borg.

Besides killing Apostates would be too time consuming and would take away time from Field Service!

I know there are great numbers of JWs who do not totally believe the WTBS as it dictates to them. Some stay because of the implications that you brought up(family/social). Others are simply baffled as to where to go besides the KH since they don't believe in Trinity and mostlikely never will. It puts many in the between a rock and a hard place and most fall back on the "wait and be patient" mode.

Of course then there are the born-ins of 1960-1973, brainwash from birth, set free by failure(1975-1976), refined by critical thinking(1977-1981), waiting with disgust(1981-present) until it is their time, whether that is GB status or Joel 2........but that is a subject entirely of it own

Until then .....Paul's counsel: (1Cor 7:23) to stop becoming slaves of men.

Actually I agree with MolyBdenum....for those not fully ready to leave the Borg....sites like http://perimeno.ca/Index.htm and even e-watchman can be the small steps........that lead to letting go of all the control....going full on apostate is not for all...... some require baby steps..

At the hall last night

i went to the hall last night to get an insight book and a concordance.

i had set it up with an elder ahead of time to get them.

i arrived after the meeting had ended, walked up to the counter anxious to leave as quickly as i came when a big brother came up to me, planted his body in between me and the literature servant and started giving me the third degree about who i am, what is my standing in the congregation, and what did i want the books for.

Just a meanspirited suggestion....Start attending the WT Q&A one Sunday a month, be sure to sit really near (if not right next to him) this "brother", make sure to greet him in a "brotherly" manner. Then not only will you gain the books but the kool-aid edition to keep us informed too.....LOL

BUT seriously....E-BAY is a great place for books or maybe someone has uploaded it.....any links Yall?
