i'd like you all to tell me 2 or 3 things:.
1- were you raised a witness or not?.
2-if you were, was your family very "theocratic" or not so much?.
1- Totally
2-Ultra -theocratic

watchtower study article "responding to your conscience" (october 15, 2007, pages 25-29, studied december 3-9, 2007) .
dealing with, inter alia, oral sex, contained what i thought was an interesting new way of describing how jw's can form their own personal, and different, conclusions and that no one needs to be 'disturbed' by this.
i have never seen the watchtower describe it quite this way, even in relation to conscience matters like whether to attend a church wedding.
Umm this was all under the guise of headship to an unbelieving husband.
If the WTS outright says to disregard her husbands headship (authority), then what is the difference in disregarding the FDS self-given authority?......
The only conclusion that made this fine was the wife being in subject to her non-JW hubby.
****of course I know this tatic well******** as my hubby is not a Witness*******
(BTW if the Hubby was a JW and his wife was not and had wanted him to attend, the answer should/'would have had to be NO)
Ahhhh reverse sexism.....a rarely seen sight.

a few days ago our neighbourhood had a group of christmas carolers go door to door.
they went to every door singing carols and leaving a plate of goodies.
they announced, between carols, that they were from the local baptist church.
I think you are reading more into it then needs to be.....
It was an invitation (adorned with carols and cookies) to come to their service/church.
Kinda like a News Eve Party invitation delivered with a basket of fruit including some champagne and two fluted glasses.
No RSVP, Whether you accept or decline, the goodies are yours!
just wondering.
my xcong is going to be there this weekend and i'm afraid i'm going to have to miss it, going to a birthday party.
just curious about the brainwashing session this time around.
Ahhh lucky you, not having to waste an entire day and travel!
This years theme is: We are the Clay.......Jehovah is our Potter (Isa 64:8)

OH BTW Dan Sydlik passed away we are now only blessed with 9 GB, to do our thinking for us.
birds or any other animal can be caught with a net.
they don't have the wisdom to see what's coming.. what does the wts use that is so powerful that most members can't seem to escape?
what makes them so powerful that they can have so much effect on everyone of us?.
Family
Associations
No other place to go for religious fellowship, since Trinitarians tend to abhor non-trinitarians
You know the usual

WTG on your decision to become a RN! (don't forget to consider BSN later for extra $$$)
Yes, avid JW medical personnel/ hosp staff
I would like to state that I have seen JW hosp. staff try to comfort, support, and oft time pray with the patient and families too.
Beyond this, all us other JWs shrink back and hope we are not asked to "clarify" once again "WHY IN THE HELL?"
Actually I speak to LVN/ RN/ BSN students about ways to convince a dying patient/ family to accept blood/ blood products banned by the WTS. (Speaking before the HLC arrives is crucial, unless you have a "kewl" HLC)
First if there is time I have them write out all the bible verses cited by the WTS about blood in Lev. This usually results in temporarily accepting that these are dietary laws only.
The next thing is to show them the "flash" that occurs with IVs (as they already have an IV attached), this gives me the ability to say well "geez....you have already been transfused." Since the blood is not part of salvage or continued circulation it is a WTS violation. I assure them that I myself have raised the IV blood transfusion issue with the WTS, yet nothing has appeared in print banning IVs.
Finally if all else fails we have a recording of a nurse speaking to the WTS, with each blood answer being "matter of conscience".....even got the Bro agreeing this is the same as organ transplants.
If DFing is brought up I show them references to Bulgaria. I remind them of when Apostles denied Christ, none were smited or unforgiven by Jehovah. I tell them they can always repent, claim weakness and blame an evil agent of satan for talking them into signing the form or they can even claim they don't remember signing the form, because of all the stress of a life and death moment.
I tell them they don't have to tell a soul about their medical decisions. As a HIPAA hospital, medical information is confidential under penalty of law.
I have spoken to Staff Nurses to instruct JWs personnel that Lev 5:1 oft used by the WTS is a Mosaic law not covered in Acts as well as the legal repercussions.
who is the man behind the guitar.... .
please welcome jk666 as visiting speaker of watchtower comments this week.. he will be wading ... i mean, searching into the "deep things" of god.
