MONEY, POWER, INFLUENCE....

Charles Taze Russell brought in way more as the Faithful and Wise Servant than in common trade.

Rutherford..... Boozeford loved living large, lived even better than Al Capone!

Franz/Knorr..... why rock a good thing you got going when you just inherited it all from Rutherford

GB 1.0 --Some probably believed, others were just too invested in comparison to social security/pension of not holding a real job for most of their lives.

GB 2.0- NO TRUE BELIEVERS..... just riding the gravvy train as long as they can....cuz it is better than starting fresh at 57yrs-near 80yrs old.

People (esp converts) get sucked in and than instead of admitting they made a mistake or got taken for a ride they try to salvage their 'investment' in the WTS and just keep on truckin' hoping the end will come before they die ....

I don't wanna overwhelm the thread (and you) with a way-too-long initial response.

Huggles dear boy, things are going to get gut wrenching but you are young and have a marvelous future ahead of you (and sounds like a swell gal at your side to boot!)

and i am trying to talk myself out of doing something shitty.. as you may be aware, my father in law is married to a real piece of shit.

she neglects and abuses him and he is sick and elderly and now is addicted to pescription pain medication.

yet she continues to lead the cngregation by her "exemplary theocratic behavior" by being a regular pioneer and carting the sisters around to every place they need to go.

Perhaps figure the cost of the fine for her having an open container...... then use money toward offering Dad a pre-paid divorce.

OR

GO TO THE MEMORIAL......... and than gossip to anyone who will listen about why yall brought him versus her. Spill all sorts of secrets and then chalk it up to being frustrated....

i want to share with our readers an experience i had when two jehovah's witness elders came to my home to enlighten me regarding the new "technology" that allows for the taking of certain blood fractions with a clean conscience.

I am Rh- , hubby is Rh+ (my youngest is +)

I remember this was the one thing I didn't want to do my own thinking on and I was soooo frustrated that I couldn't just get a straight answer from Elders or the Branch.

Elders were shrug, gee its a MOC (which means it must be okay, why are you bothering us with this Sis Yknot?), branch encouraged me to 'do my own research'...

I remember finding a copy of court documents in French (Bulgarian Agreement) and translating them myself and then being in shock and paying for them to be properly translated at a nearby University.

I accepted the shot and sat and 'waited on Jah' regarding Bulgaria (we all know how that played out).

I kinda still don't fully deal with my anger over the countless sisters who have suffered prior to 74' and those who refuse based on the WTS now, perhaps when I am beyond my child bearing years I will choose to have the shot and donate too..

likely most poeple feel that they at times can and should be both , that is a teacher or a student.

i know i have learned and gained much insight into many things here.. but most often.

fail to make acknowledgement... not sure why i guess i hate for a person to feel i am flattering them or kissing up.
