  JW'S Biggest Hypocrites in Society Today

  most of its members say one thing in their comments at the meetings, preach one thing in service, and pray yet another to their god.

  but on the whole most jw's get drunk, have sex or "fool around" before marriage, get involved in some type of drugs (weed), lie.

  and these practices are done on a regular basis by most jw's at one time or another without ever coming forward.. goes to show motive for being a jw is nothing more than fear.

  Do you consider your time as a JW wasted time??

  many of us have devoted a lot of time and energy to the jw's at the expense of other things like education , planing for retirement , family time just to name a few.. i don't consider it all wasted time there was a lot of good i learnt however i'm doing things now as a jw i never would have.. i don't have the same time pressure and never fell guilty about taking a lot of time out for myself as one elder said to me"if we don't keep you brothers real busy in the work of the kingdom you get swallowed up by the world" .

  There were some things I learnt from being a JW which I might not of done otherwise but I honestly wish I had never entertained them or even set eyes on them in the first place. The pain, anxiety, fear that I have had because of them has been awful.

  it's just so apperant that these people are so out of touch with reality that the whole world could just not give a crap.. the level of stupidity never ceases to amaze me.

  these people just love to feel this incredible persecution, a feeling like they've been so 'hard done by', yet they are completely false.

  nearly every religion has had persecution of some sort - jw's, despite they're bizarre and psychotic behavior are completely harmless.

  We should never give up fighting the WT even though you are correct in what you say about JW's. In history people fought against oppressive and mighty regimes, even though it seemed an impossible quest. In WW11 the Nazis seemed invincible the way they stormed through Europe". Winston Churchill said "We will never surrender" and in the end evil was overcome. The WT would like us to give up but they are evil and we must never give up.

  Could You Live Without God?

  i have said before in past posts - i think a belief in a god is because of two bad reasons.. 1. ignorance (not always deliberate at all) of certain facts.

  the universe and life on earth was not designed.. 2. wanting to believe in a god.. so, to focus on the second, i can see why people would want there to be a god.. you see dead loved ones again, you live forever, you have a purpose set out for you, you feel there's always a being with you through even your most difficult times.

  for those who believe in a god, could you live without one?

  I don't know the answer to this because I have always believed that God is there. I suppose logically that if there isn't a God then I do live without Him anyway if you know what I mean

  if i thought there was a magnificent spiritual being who cared for me, i would pray every day, not just if i felt low and had no one else to talk to.

  we don't spend time with friends only when the going gets tough.

  we share the good as well as the bad.

  am i right in thinking that jws can lie under certain crcumstances ?

  can anyone quote me any literarature on lying being alright , does it not matter about lying to worldlys as they are considered evil anyway .

  when i used to study i remember hearing many times "i cannot tell a lie ,i am a jehovahs witness "( this was usually said by people who everyone knew told lies ) when i hear jw talk now about how marvelous they are it makes me want to vomit .

  Michael the Archangel?

  i know the official position of the society is that jesus christ is in fact michael the archangel.

  however, in searching their official website i can find nothing said at all about the subject nor does it appear the subject has been in print for a very long time.

  is this true or have i missed something?

  i have been visiting this forum since aug 07. i have hidden in the bushes and watched the goings on.

  but now i leap from the bushes and tell all of you how much i have learned from watching you.

  Home Schooling

  it seems that there are a lot of witlesses that opt to home school their children.

  i had a family in my former congregation that did that, because the kids did not want to be around worldly people (sounds familiar?).

  it also seems that they are speeding things up, so the children can get out there and pioneer that much sooner.

  I can't speak from experience only observation but a family I knew that taught their kids at home did it to keep them from mixing with "worldly children". The girl was very withdrawn and always seemed depressed, and the boy became a window cleaner. I don't know if this was the reason of course but it might of helped!
