A simple question about Jesus prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane.

jesus is in the garden with peter, james and john but he removes himself from them and prays alone.
in all three accounts of this event we read that the disciples fell asleep and jesus had to actually wake them up.

It is merely a story that someone wrote down because he thought that it would appeal to those who followed that guy who claimed to be the messiah. It is very much like other stories where the hero has doubt (showing the human side) and then overcoming his doubt and accomplishing his task. It does remind me, though, of the night I fell asleep on the couch during the news and woke up at 2:30am with the strong desire to buy a magic bullet... Humans can hear, and retain information, even when sleeping.

i believe its my 6th month of zero time (seems like a year) so on my time slip i put my name, month and wrote in inactive.
i told my wife she just said i was crazy.. .

This is why they don't want their members in college. Students actually learn how to conduct research, using peer reviewed sources from many perspectives. And, above all, they learn how to quote in context with proper citation. It was an eye opener for me when I started writing research papers.

It is pretty easy to figure out from my posts who I am. The thing is... no one cares who I am. Haha. My family knows I'm an evil, rabid apostate and I am lucky enough that the ones I care about (parental units) still talk to me anyway.

they know people won't answer the door and dodge them, so-oo they blame the householder, but facts are facts-- jws are just not good people and you can't fool your neighbors.
not surprisingly, jws have a disconnect between how they perceive themselves and how everyone else sees them.. i wonder, if it would make a difference to jws, if they could see themselves as we see them?.

Blech... This story is so transparent! It is laced with loaded phrases and cult jargon. And, it is poorly written. I have a rule about life experience stories: you can be dishonest or you can be boring, but you can't be both. If you go to all that trouble to make something up, at least make it interesting.

I am now in college at 31 with one year until graduation. I wrote an experience for a class that explained how I was talked out of going to college and going to beauty school and my professor bent over laughing and said, "is this a joke?!?" Yes, my friend, that's my life; one big joke! LOL
