Anger

i'm not trying to defend anyone's actions including mine, but i can certainly see how many of us feel anger.... my father is a sucessful business man, loved in the community by the "worldly" and the jws alike; he's also very logical in almost everyway until we talk about the witnesses.

becasue he's so chrismatic, he's played a role in converting almost everyone in the family-i'm irish so it's one darn big family, into being devout jws.

when i think about how much i love my dad, and my family and couple that with the fact that the only beef we have with one another is the fact that i see through the gb lies; it makes me mad that the love i once felt will never be there again becasue of this division.

People show anger out of fear it is th basis for all negative emotions greed, anger , malice, sarrow. Fear of what you believe being wrong causes one to hold to a belief as tightly as possible .

Insecurity of reality is why so many grab something that sounds moral and proper and authoritive and run to the end zone.

No knowledge of self and fear of facing facts about what we are, fuels most religions. Most people spend the whole life running from what they really are in the hopes of finding another truth, one that is more compromising and smaller in breadth and comprehension.

In each of us lies an abyss that is truth , most fear looking to this truth .it is unrelenting and implacable ,infinite and eternal , It's much simpler to look away and follow others as they pat each other on the back for finding God.

I HAVE MADE A DECISION TO LEAVE

i haven't been on jwd for the last few days as my good friend had her mum die suddenly and i have been spending time just being there for my friend.. i was shocked and saddened to hear that trevor and linda was a sham.

it's sometimes hard not to become cynical with life and not trust anyone when this sort of thing happens.. i have made a big decision and i hope that i don't live to regret it.

i have posted that i have been trying to "fade" as my son and his family are jw's and i don't want to lose them because of being shunned.

Good job Maddie Being who you are is the only truth we have so don't feel as if you are wrong, that has nothing to do with it.

Our own truth , the truth within each of us is a blessing and our birthright, and so often others convince us to forsake what we are and replace the truth our creator put in us with a delusion and suffering

Untill we know the depth of our own soul we know knothing and can not know anything. Fly free and may your spirit grow to know the real truth.

If I believed in satan I would say he's in charge at the watchtower, and just about any position of power is filled by him as well, but since I don't , I will just state the obvious , that self deluded maniacs are in control of the world.

not to be mean but why should i care that you have 3,000 posts?

this yet again proves how useless even making stats like this public are.

it just gives people ammo to say, "i have 25,000 posts so obviously i am more vested in this board then you".

Does it seem like a desirable thing to have many posts?

Perhaps someone takes pleasure in the sense of community the number of posts relates to them ?

Seems rather small minded to be concerned about any "rank" if all we are here for is to support each other and spread the light of consiousness around

jehovahs witnesses and the un relationship

for years i studied the awake and watchtower literature and at times wondered to myself why [ esp in the awake] do they keep quoting the un so much when they are saying the un is satans tool.i got more curious when i read an awake main article which was practically dedicated to the un, all about the uns projects,etc.then it all made sense when i discovered that the tower had had a realtionship of some sort with the un.when i spoke to the elders they seemed non the wiser but looked into it and came back with info saying it was just a library card for the info section.which i was suspicous of,especially when the elder told me this year that " the un thing is old news anyway so why bring that up".. does anyone have any further info on this or documents?

i had heard that american congregations had been sent letters from bethel explaining this, is that true?

because as far as i know british congregations didnt recieve any letters or anything about this.. jacethespace..

They are symptomatic of humanities madness of delusion and are just echoing the prediliction of a man to get the truth completely 180 degrees off from reallity. To find fault wilth them is simple and akin to making a retarded person cry or feel frightened , not hard at all,

The real task is getting an understanding of the true nature of ones own self and finding that truth inherint in each of us that our creator allows us to experience if we seek it

Finding the answer to " What am I ?" is the most satisfying and fulfilling thing one can do. That experience allows true understanding of our origin and relationship with God to blossom and take root in a meaningfull way.

That was quite possibly the longest rant I have ever read , Very interesting view on mankind. I'm quite certain you should write for a living.

The origin of a man or what he believes his origin to be, is indeed the deciding factor on what path he choses in life. I believe we all share a common source and therefore should be mindfull and considerate of each other , not cause needs to arise and not add to suffering.

I see people being drawn into a polairity as well , along the traditional lines of positive and negative. All we can do as individuals is make ourself the conduit of our source be it God or otherwise.

I like the guys in white hats myself .

it could also be just human nature in general, or a personality type that was attracted to this religion in the first place.. it seems that several problems on this board just won't die a peaceful death.

Letting go is just symtomatic with being human , it's the single largest hinderence to healing ,it's a close cousin to selfishness and arrogance, I suffer from it less than I used to ,but still ,some days are better than others.
