  Holy sh... pirit!

  That elder reminds me of another one in my congregation (this was a long time ago and I can't revel the details or they will know who I am) who built a business empire on the shoulders of many brothers life savings and after a while he was thrown to jail. I remember people at their homes talking about it in the service.

  I also remember a recent conversation with one of our current elders: He said to me he will never do business with 'brothers' since you can't sue them. How nice of him. Well he knows for experience how the things are in the congo.

  i remember an elder walking in the hall and it was the 1st thing he said to me as he saw me dealing with the sound dept.

  Basically, if you don't have a jacket you are not spiritual. So, everybody glances at you with desdian. Like saying: "He will die in Armageddon". Poor jacketless bro.

  You have to use a jacket and tie if you are going into the Matrix.

  have u ever wonder why sisters wear skirts to the meeting?

  And each congo has its own additional rules about skirts...

  1. A sister from our congo moved to another one and she was told to start wearing longer skirts, or else... She was half inch from disfellowshipping apparently.
  2. In other congregations to have a little cut in the bottom of the skirt is a mortal sin. While other congregations don't care.
  3. I was in a congo where fitted (not super tight) skirts where immoral. And hippie skirts where the more spiritual ones.
  4. Some congregations kill (spiritualy) people just for wearing skirts with logos or cute characters.

  I don't get me started on shoulders showing, white shirts, flat ties, pionner shoes, appropiate haircut, one day old beard, mustach, lipstick, and the new rule: What to wear in a Hotel or restaurant after a convention?

  The poor sisters need to run every piece of dress to 5 different people before it is approved.

  Why don't the WT send a WTPenney catalog for sisters, so everybody know what is spiritual clothing and what is worldy clothing? I think they just need to borrow models from upcoming Burkas Fashion 2008.

  i don't spend a day without turning on my computer.

  sometimes i wonder how long i could go without turning this thing on..... it's true that i have good music downloaded and i enjoy listening to music and i love reading bad news...lol and i also love to have a peek here on jwd and chat now and then.. since the last 5 years, i guess i didn't spend a day without going on a computer.

  I'm still an Elder, and I have a college degree. Every time I hear a young witness saying that they are not going to college, I try to reason with them in the following way, and maybe it will help you too to make them think:

  1) "If you have to provide for your family, how many hours a day you will have to work"? Answer: 8 to 9 hours.

  2) As you WILL need to work at least 8 hours a day, what will make a difference in pay? Having an education!

  3) If you don't go to college, you will probably earn a minimum wage. That will force you to work OVERTIME to pay for your expenses. "You will be sacrificing the time you need for the meetings/spiritual things then!" (Working during the nights or weekends)

  4) "YOU are the one that decides if you want to earn $5.00 an hour, or $25.00 an hour". Go to college!

  5) I always has a copy of the article from Awake!1969 May 22 p.15 in my suitcase. I show it as a last resort.

  And then it hit me... Why not use the position we have (I am an MS) inside the Borg to help free some minds? Since some of us can't leave the Borg (because our family is captive) why don't use the 'powers' we have? What do you think?
