I wonder now if at a person's baptism they will be told they are now ordained ministers of the good news?

Did anyone else get somewhat offended by the term "rank and file" that the WT attorney used.
by life is to short ini was just surprised by that term being used by jim mccabe when he said "jonathan kendrick was not a leader or a pastor, he was just a rank-and-file member.".
i thought that was only an apostate term and also what a put down to us lowly members.
we are just a rank-and-file person.

Do you now have a customized religion?
by losthobbit ini was never a jw.
i was a member of the church of christ.
i didn't jump from christian to non-believer, but rather went through a transition period, and i'd guess that all of you did the same,... changing beliefs bit by bit until you believe what you do now.. when i first realized that there were logic problems in the bible i started to find excuses for those problems.

I am now in the "It is What it is" religion.
somthing bad happens in life, "It is what it is"
a death in the family, "It is what it is"
Evolution or creation, "It is what it is"
A God, no God, or wicked spirits that rule the world, "It is what it is"
As yet nobodies called me on it because, yes you guessed it, "It is what it is"

From a currently serving elder: an open letter to the organization
by elderelite inthere are 1000's who who hate this religion who are stuck ....inside it.
we work against you, we use our position to convince and sway those that still drink your koolaid.
we feed info to authorities who chase you, we warn off potiential converts by directing them to the real truth.

minimus said: Nice letter but they don't care
I think your probably right. On some level they don't care. Their convinced that no matter what happens, it's Jehovah's organization and he (Jah) will take care of matters.
However it does confirm to them that there is a higher level of infiltration then they hoped there would be.
There weakest point is their elders and ministerial servants. Many of them are uneducated, struggling to make a living, dealing with emotional problems like anxiety, depression and martial problems. They have doubts about the doctrines of the organization. The GB has the least amount of control with this group. A CO visit twice a year is all most get throw in a few assemblies to keep them in view and that's it
The elders are the weakest link in the chain of command, they are the clay mixing with the iron at the toes of the WT beast when they start to crumble, the beast will come down.
Bravo for all of you who are stayiing active and helping from the inside. I could have never done it I wouldn't be able to bite my tongue hard enough to keep me from talking. Plus I don't know how you can stand the boredom of all those meetings and door to door meanderings.
Thank You, I hope the army inside keeps growing

The fact that most people will not be aware of any of this bad press demonstrates how piddly the bORG really is. The world does not care about them, nor does the world have any clue as to what their message is.
I remember going out door to door after the dateline show and I don't remember anyone that was home bringing it up.

What do apostates really want?
by Mr Facts ini'm just wondering what the whole apostate propaganda is all about?.

Dear Mr. Facts
What do you really want?
Why are you here?
Do you think you can accomplish anything good here?
What are your motives?
Why does one have to question other's motives? Shouldn't just carefully examine our own motives?
That I don't get

JW-Media.org - Why isn't there an official statement about the Candace Conti case?
by DT injw-media.org is strangely silent about the candace conti case.
they haven't said anything about it as of the time of this post.. i decided to call the media department at this number (718) 560-5600. i identified myself as a researcher who also has some websites.
i was asked for the web address of my website.

I didn't expect they would be anything but silent on this. They're probably praying about this and waiting for an answer from Jehovah.
I missed you too OUTLAW.

Greetings from Candace Conti
by AndersonsInfo incandace asked me to tell you thank you for all your kind expressions of support.
this really means a lot to her.
she wants you to know that she is coping well with all the stress and excitement, even though she's had years of anger and frustration because of being abused for so long, first by the molester, and then by the wt.

Thank You Candace,
Your battle against the Watchtower not only helps others who have been sexually abused while in the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society but it also helps all of us who have been emotionally abused by this group who claim to have the truth. We have left Mother's Father's Brother's, Sister's, Son's and Daughters stuck in this cult and this may help to free many of them.
I admire your courage

I would expect the Watchtower to appeal. $2.8 million is a low price to pay, in order to try to get out of an important precedent that could open a flood of new $28 milllion dollar cases.
This is where I'm confused. In the news article, 60% was owed by the molester which leaves 40%
So what would the Watchtower's final number be,
40% of 7,000,000 with the WT oweing the other 21,000,000. Or
40% of 28,000,000

So how will / should the Watchtower respond publicly when the news of their lawsuit loss hits the news?
by sir82 inin case anyone missed it:.
http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/watchtower/scandals/227017/1/watchtower-found-guilty-ruled-to-pay-7-million-to-1-victim-wow.
the wt has been found negligent and ordered to pay $7 million to a vistim of child abuse, plus punitive damages (not yet determined).. the punitive damages may well exceed the $7 million.

They will say:
Jehovah's Witnesses have always spoken out against pedophelia and we endeavor to keep the congregations clean. Our direction has always been in line with God's word the Bible, and we all look forward to the time when the whole earth will be a paradise and there will be no more of Satan's influence.
