  For what it's worth, this is my take on the AGM

  as i was leaving the kh where i watched the meeting, i overheard several conversations, all to the effect that"what a great bunch of guys the gb is.

  " the sense of humor among them, the naturalness and ease they had while speaking, etc.. for that matter, i too, was impressed at how like able they seem to be and, believe it or not, the 3 1/2 hours went by fairly quickly, thank god!

  but as i think about it, i'm concluding that that was the main goal of the wide viewing of this event: to assure the rank and file that the gb, the men who are in charge of god's household, are a great bunch of guys.

  Good point stillin.

  The main purpose of this whole dog and pony show was marketing. The GB has re-branded and they need to build up the confidence of the rank and file.

  a catch all phrase for apostates.

  The dictionary's literal definition of brazen is..."made of brass"

  So I suppose the rank and file will have to turn in their brass balls and knuckle under to the GB

  i have recently joined the site.

  i was just appointed an elder this summer.

  i started discovering the ttatt (the truth about the truth) last year after putting a few things together myself concerning the leadership and then doing some research online.. i really enjoyed jwfacts.com, jwsurvey, and others.

  When I started reading COC, i snuck it into my office at work (other JW's work there) and whenever I heard someone out in the hallway I would hide it.

  Then I brought it home and left it laying around for my wife and it worked.

  i keep thinking that after you retire from your current field (it's fire fighting, i think?

  ), you will still be very young and able to have a full second career.

  as an apostate, i'm currently compiling a list of changed doctrines and "new light" changes over the years.

  this is mainly for discussing with witnesses in the future.

  i feel if i don't present full truth of their own doctrine, they will knock me down and rightfully say that i did not give full infomation(hypocrites much?).
