Does this mean that I can't build an alter, sacrifice a pig, and burn the fat in the fire for a sweet bacon smell to God this year for my birthday? Darn, and I was also planning on bumping off a few cooks and cup bearers this year too.

know what you mean about the statement, "we miss you" everytime my wife and I go to a Sunday meeting, about every month and a half we get the same thing. So I always say, well you visit people all the time, stop by and visit us. They won't though because they can't count the time. By the way with both of you out, it takes about 5 days to start finding new friends. Start with your neighbors that we usually didn't have the time to get to know.

What definiton of generation would you use for the anointed living today?
by truthseeker infrom feb 15, 2008 wt.
15today, people who don't have the spiritual understanding think that there is nothing of "stunningly observable" as to the signs of jesus' presence.

Question on fading
by ldrnomo inmy wife and i have been staying away from meetings for almost a year now and i was wondering what everyone thinks about taking the next step, which would be going to another kh out of the circuit the cong we went to is in and having the publisher cards sent there and then going for two or three times to the new cong and then just stop.
we are thinking that will give the elders an out because they can get rid of our inactive cards and the next cong won't know us that well so won't really care.. as a former elder and po, we are well known in the area we live so many in the area are wondering what's going on with us and if we go to another cong.
that might make them feel more settled.

This is an illustration all should be familier with it's actually a childrens story.
The Characters:
The Emperor= Watchtower Bible and Tract Society IE Governing Body (GB)
The clothing= Watchtower and Awake and other 192 page books as well as a NWT
The Tailor= Fredrick Franz
The Little boy= Raymond Franz
The Soldiers= Company men Elders
The crowd= The Rank and File Jehovah's Witnesses
There once was an Emperor who wanted to stand out as the most important Emperor in the world in fact when he paraded in front of his people he wanted to be admired and respected. So he set out to have someone sew him a fine set of new clothes somthing that would be original and would show his people and the world that he was the greatest of all the emporers.
Now a gentle old tailor hearing of this raised one of his crafty eyebrows and thought to himself that he could weave a set of clothes that would certainly make the emperor stand out as different in front of his subjects. He approached the emperor and told him he had the most beutiful threads for which to tailor the emperor the finest clothes imaginable. The emperor was anxious to see these threads so the tailor reached in his box and pulled what looked to be an empty spindle but he began unwinding the spindle. As the emperor looked on he was amazed he could not see the thread so he told the tailor and the tailor said "why that's because it's so beutiful that only those with a special minds eye can see it." The emperor thought a moment and finally said "yes, I see it, it's beutiful and I want you to weave a set of clothes for me and you can have anything in my kingdom".
The tailor knew exactly what he wanted he told the emperor that he wanted to be taken care of for the rest of his life in the kings castle. The emperor agreed and so the tailor began weaving. Clothing after clothing to the end of such clothing there was none he wove typical prophicies and anti-typical prophicies as well doctrine after doctrine and rule after rule. The emperor was delighted and everytime he would parade through the kingdom he would be wearing the clothes the tailor made. The crowds would go wild they would applaud him and shout, you are truly the one who is approved. but one day a small boy who was looking on and also shouting for joy realized that the emperor was actually naked and being an honest and fine young man he shouted out, "The emporer has no clothes on he is really naked" The crowd hushed they looked at the boy with astonishment and the soldiers immediatly arrested the boy and brought him to the dungeon to silence him. This scared the crowd so they again looked at the emperor and shouted praise for his wonderful suit of clothes. The emperor continued marching through the crowds with great pride and love for himself.

Special Needs talk at our Hall tonite...
by CaptainSchmideo intalk was about appreciating jehovah's provisions, something like that.... the po gave the talk.
apparently, after the last co visit, our congo got a letter from headquarters, informing us that our numbers are wayyyy down.
several inactive publishers, several more irregular, poor meeting attendance, and our hourly average is less than the national average (8.3 compared to 9.9).

I used to give special needs talks like that all the time when I was a PO. The ones who were needed it and were never there, weren't there and the ones that were always late would feel so bad instead of showing up late the next meeting, they just wouldn't attend so again, the borg shoots themselves in the foot.

The WTBTS aka Borg is expert at shooting itself in the foot. Or is it really Jesus shooting them in the foot?

Has a GB member ever died from refusing blood?
by LtCmd.Lore inhas a governing body member ever died from refusing blood products?.
and do you think he would if the problem arose?
or do you think there would be some quick 'new light' on the subject?.

Good question, I'm sure that if any ever did they would have been hailed in the tower as great so because there has never been any stories of any my guess is none have ever died refusing transfusions.

look at this a a blessing. you now know that the organization does NOT have love among it's members. You can now have a real life out of the WT organization you do not need the WT to have a relationship with God. remember two scriptures that point out how wrong any organization of men is not where God is
Jerimiah 10:23 Man cannot direct his own step and
Ps. 146:3 do not put your trust in nobles or man
