  i'm sitting in the living room reading jwd on my laptop.

  my elderly parents are in the adjacent dining room having lunch.

  my mother pulls out the "daily text" and asks: "what day is it?

  I've noticed with my own aging parents that they are totally absorbed with themselves and their own lives which are quickly disolving so don't take it personal.

  she is an amazon...i'm guessing 5' 11" with big hips.

  her speech was ok, but she says "um" a lot.

  our table was very close, which translates into we paid $500.00, instead of $200.00, per plate for our cold chicken salad.

  no, this is not a joke.

  having actually managed to survive through the entire 3 grueling days of the dc after attending the friday session today (hit sat and sun last weekend) i was initially going to make a criticism of some of the parts & points at the dc.

  however, something that i witnessed today changed my mind.

  An extra prayer, that's not in the schedule. There is so much spiritual food to dispense an prayer or any acknowledgement of a person possibly dying would destroy the continuity of the program. After all, the show must go on.
