Sounds like Tony was a rebel.
They told him to go into the bunker to save his life and he refused. Now he's telling the Rank and File to crawl into his Watchtower bunker.
in this latest video instalment, anthony relates his horrifying experience during the bloody conflict in vietnam.
as a new recruit, he is forced to endure the terrible inconvenience of having his much-needed sleep interrupted by enemy mortar explosions, leading him to make a brave decision.... .

this well-reasoned youtube video explains it all.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwjm5d9m1lm.
it seems that, in my haste to scrutinize the teachings of the governing body and see whether they are actually in line with bible teachings, i have overlooked one important factor which indicates that they really can be trusted as those "taking the lead" in god's organization..... ...apparently, their weekly meetings sometimes run past 5 o'clock!!
i would like to apologise for any undue criticism i may have levelled at the governing body on this forum or elsewhere.. if i had been aware of the above information, i would obviously have been far more willing to humbly accept their leadership.. .
Everything the man put together for the call, (all the research from Watchtower publications) he threw in the trash after talking to a member of the Governing Body. What does that tell you.
Why bother with all that shit if love is what really matters?
Oh and meetings on Wednesday's lasting all day and sometimes beyond 5:00, what a sacrifice they make.
They do really care about the rank and file
Sidlick prooved it when he told this guy he was barely in the truth. Those GB members can be so upbuilding.
i've just finished reading coc and it's truely a thought provoking book that's given me much to think about.. one thing that has struck me is the way rf was disfellowshipped and how he tried to reason with the elders on the jc.
a key point of reasoning was that how the elders could define the disassocated one he ate with as "the antichrist" or one practicing the things described in 1 cor 9. apparently the elders either remain silent on the matter or said it was not for them to judge.. i thought the reasoning was really sound but i have been doing some checking on the definition of apostacy and the antichrist according to the society and it seems pretty clear to me that anyone guilt of apostacy becomes part of the antichrist.
characteristics of apostacy as defined in the it-1 book are described as follows:.
Well I think I might be guilty of "abandoning the Christian congregation"

i have been trying to wrap my head around the talk that introduced the slave as our mother?
the brothers at bethel are worried that we are not treating our spiritual mother with respect.
jehovah is our father, the faithful slave (the governing body) is our spiritual mammy.
Could it be Mother worship like the Catholic's?
They want to be worshipped (followed no matter what they say)
I can't even imagine having to go to meetings and out in service. I think it would be torture.
Maybe you could just slow way down. You could plead depression.
i remember hearing from a former elder of a situation he found himself in while conducting the old weekly bible study.
that morning only one male was present during the morning study, however that brother forgot his tie.
under instruction from the slave, any brother not properly dressed for a meeting is not to have any congregation priviledges (hold mics, talk, attendent, magazines, reading).
When I was a congregation PO, a DO asked me to talk to an elder in our cong who's African American wife wore her hair extremely short. The DO told me it was inappropriate because she was a pioneer and the short hair made her look like a lesbian.
I refused and told him if he had a problem then he should talk to them himself.
Don't think he ever did.
...and who do you think they will be?.
I agree with George, Leon Weaver has to be an option, forceful used in the past as the GB's lieutenant (the apostate letter of the 80's). I met him once. He struck me as a forceful man, tall, handsome, intelligent, a good speaker. Not annointed at the moment, (as far as I know) but the calling could come at any time.
i'm doing some research for a new blog article on the governing body.
it's in a question-and-answer or "faq" format, and attempts to give simple but well-founded answers to most questions that people could conceivably ask about the governing body.. one thing i noticed when looking at the history of the governing body is that we seem to be in the middle of a lengthy "dry spell" when it comes to making new appointments.. gerrit losch is currently the longest-serving member having been appointed in 1994. however, his appointment came at the end of a 17 year period in which no appointments were made.
this contrasts notably with the remarkable six-year period between 1971 and 1977 when 15 members were added.. since losch's appointment, 4 members were added in 1999 (herd, lett, pierce and splane) and 2 more recently in 2005 (morris and jackson).. the seven year spell since the last appointments were made has seen the deaths of barber, barr, jaracz, shroeder and sydlik - cutting the number of governing body members almost in half.

Also if you've read the whole Bible NWT only all the way through that will be a plus
we have seen hundreds of examples of where the watchtower uses the word "evidently" to make their doctrinal point.
(page 9, para 6).
(page 19 para 5).
clearly and evedently, the Watchtower organization is a CULT!
