A lot of the R&F, especially the under 40 group would have a hard time coming up with 10 doctrines.

What If Before You Enter The Intersantum (KHall) you had to write, on a piece of paper...
by LoisLane looking for Superman in...what you think the top 10 doctrines of your, jw religion, (cited bible scripture as well...not cited corporation publications), are.
lol.
it is my guess, some of the answers would be "old" thinking that would get you df for not keeping up with, "this week's... what the governing body heard from god", stories, regurgitated as gospel.

A ban on partaking?
does that mean partakers will be DF'd?
I also haven't heard about this. Not that I care because I don't plan on partaking.

A Test of my Principles
by fulltimestudent inyesterday, a friend i'd helped with a problem at university came to see me.
he wanted to thank me for that help, and gave me a beautifully carved image of the boddhisattva guan yin for me to wear around my neck.. i like the buddhist guan yin story.
as a story of sacrifice and compassion it beats the similar jesus myth hands down.

Just wear it, enjoy it and don't worry about where it came from.

"The Truth That Leads To Eternal Life" book
by smiddy inif i remember correctly there were more than 100 million books distributed around the world in the the 1960`s.. and if i remember correctly it was listed amongst the ten most distributed/published books by the guiness book of records .. and if i`m not mistaken "paradise lost to paradise regained" was also on this list.
and even in one year about that time their were no less than four of the societys publications on the 10 most distributed books ever.
at that time.. how much of what was printed in those publications then, is relevant to what is beleived today.

Pope Vows To Get Church Pedophilia Down To Acceptable Levels
by frankiespeakin inhttp://www.theonion.com/articles/pope-vows-to-get-church-pedophilia-down-to-accepta,17201/.
vatican citycalling the behavior shameful, sinful, and much more frequent than the vatican was comfortable with, pope benedict xvi vowed this week to bring the widespread pedophilia within the roman catholic church down to a more manageable level.. addressing thousands gathered at st. peter's square on easter sunday, the pontiff offered his "most humble apologies" to abuse victims, and pledged to reduce the total number of molestations by 60 percent over the next five years.. "this is absolutely unacceptable," pope benedict said.
"it seems a weakening of faith in god has prevented our priests from exercising moderation when sexually abusing helpless minors.".
