SirNose, yep you can unlock the MKV Mjolnir armor, in addition to almost a dozen other helmet & armor patterns including a "samurai" helmet modeled by the guys at Team Ninja to look like the Ninja Gaiden helmet.
Pretty psyched about the whole deal.

I once hosted a party and tried to get a friendly little mosh pit going in the back yard to Blur's "WooHoo" song.
I couldn't believe it when I was approached afterwards to inform me that I had stumbled some people. -

I just might have to justify using my credit card to get an xbox360 and a copy of this. I'm completely bitten by the Halo Universe bug (read all the books, played the single-player campaign religiously, even participated in the "ilovebees" reality rpg).
However, another more rational part of my brain says to wait for a price drop. -

How to stump someone that believes the noah's flood happened.
by 5go inone of the key peices of evidence that people sight to try to prove the flood happen is the fact the most cultures have a flood myth or story as they put it.. i was just watching a program that also points out the most, if not all cultures believe in dragons.
even cultures that evolve in isolation have beliefs in dragons and they are all simular though not the same.
just like the flood myth.. so if they believe the flood happened because so many cultures have flood stories.

Perry, those "answers" are worse than anything I've ever read from the pages of the WTBTS. I hope you were being sarcastic when you posted the link.
Their arguments are full of baseless supposition and selective ignoring of facts then pulling them out again when it suits them. For example, they show absolute scorning disregard for geological processes and use completely unfounded theories to explain them away but then when confronted with the whole marsupial thing they state: "Evolutionist geologists themselves believe there have been major tectonic upheavals" that explain supposed land bridges to Australia that would have allowed all the platypuses (platypi?), koalas, wombats, tasmanian tigers, kangaroos, wallabies and other assorted creatures a plausible escape route from Mt. Ararat.
The whole global flood false doctrine is what first pushed me away from the WT's teachings, and I have no patience for people who use junk science to prop up their literalist interpretation of scripture. -

Depends on what your tolerance is for pressure, sales (especially car sales) is mega-pressure with lots of dubious "acting" thrown in if you really want to perform.
Don't get me wrong, you can make a truckload of money doing it and some people have perfect personalities for it, but I found that my numbers never matched the top performers because I could never fully immerse myself in the mindset.
In a way, it's very much like the JWs, only instead of an elder noticing your field service report slipping it'll be the finance manager giving you "the talk" about how come you're not performing. Expect lots of aggressive pep-rallying and pressure to bend your ethics in order to close the deal with a healthy margin for the finance dept.
Don't burn your bridges as you jump into this new career and make sure you keep some options open while you try it for the first few months.
After working sales for so long, I'm coming to the realization that being able to sleep soundly is worth more than fat commissions. -

As a JW were you ever counseled about clothes you wore, or lack thereof ?
by flipper inthought this could get interesting discussing experiences.
i for one was trying to reach out for ministerial servant again in the early 90's , had been one before, and was assigned to carry the microphones one meeting.
had an elder call me in the back room and say , " brother flipper, i noticed looking down towards your shoes that you are wearing white socks today.

I never got counseled about clothing (except for not bothering with the jacket anymore, but nobody really cared about that) but I DID get a talking-down to after I shaved my head.
Said I looked like a skinhead and shouldn't go out in service like that or give parts on the platform. In retrospect, I should have done that more often. -

2007- Witness Meetings= Why can't women wear pants/trousers??
by Witness 007 inwhen my mum went to her first meeting she was dressed to perfection, she wore nice ladies dress trouser/pants.
the witness stuying with her told her it was "not apropriate" to wear this to the meeting...in 2006 i was in a congregation where a sister would put a skirt on over her pants she wore to work.
it looked weird, but the pants ban still is in force 2007.

Wear a Dashiki. In my last cong there were a number of brothers from Nigeria and other parts of Africa that wore them because they're considered dress wear in their home congregations and nothing beats them in hot weather.
It's basically a loose-fitting airy open-necked robe worn over light trousers and optional headgear. A (non-african, white as a cottonball) friend of mine bought one and successfully wore it to meetings but I don't think he was allowed onstage with it.
Of course, I've been fed up with the "society's" unwritten talmud of pharisaical rules for a while now so I could care less if they mandated lederhosen onstage.
Show me in the bible that men must wear ties when preaching the word or that shorts are un-christian attire when going out for supper after an assembly.
Freakin' load of crap. -
