Hellz yeah. So many moments in this show have left me gobsmacked, it has to be my favorite series ever. Not to be outdone by Trailer Park Boys, though. ;)

Grand Theft Auto V: The Manual
by glenster inas this is the biggest grand theft auto game to date, we literally couldnt fit everything into an old fashioned style printed booklet anymore so instead we have taken the tradition of the classic gta game manual into the digital era properly and have created for you a massive over-100-page free digital app for smartphones, tablets as well as desktops called grand theft auto v: the manual.
the official manual app has everything from essential and practical game con- trols, features and credits info to a tour through the activities and local shops and brands in the game and best yet, a special digital version of the game map to zoom in and explore with an interactive legend to browse neighbor- hoods and points of interest all over the entire world of los santos and blaine county.. http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/51371/the-free-gtav-ifruit-and-game-manual-companion-apps.html.
(disclaimer--i'm not familiar with these non-pc let's players):.

Been totally immersed in this game for the past few days. Trevor has to be one of the best (worst) video game characters ever. I've busted out laughing so many times while playing as him. My still-in mom would blow a gasket if she knew videogames are like this nowadays, though.

Major goof in the Sept 1 WT article on Babel and the origin of languages
by marmot injust wanted to point out something that another poster brought up in the thread on the agm rumours, the writing department included a photo of a cuneiform tablet in their article on the origin of languages with a caption that states it is from 3000 bc.
this would pre-date the global flood myth and the fanciful tower of babel story altogether, hah!.

Hadn't thought about the reverse-running date numbers for 3rd millenium BCE, dangit. Still, that's some mighty intellectually dishonest information-mining there. Wikipedia has this to say about cuneiform writing:
"The original Sumerian writing system derives from a system of clay tokens used to represent commodities. By the end of the 4th millennium BC, this had evolved into a method of keeping accounts, using a round-shaped stylus impressed into soft clay at different angles for recording numbers. This was gradually augmented with pictographic writing using a sharp stylus to indicate what was being counted. Round-stylus and sharp-stylus writing were gradually replaced around 2700-2500 BC by writing using a wedge-shaped stylus (hence the term cuneiform), at first only for logograms, but developed to include phonetic elements by the 29th century BC. About 2600 BC cuneiform began to represent syllables of the Sumerian language. Finally, cuneiform writing became a general purpose writing system for logograms, syllables, and numbers. From the 26th century BC, this script was adapted to the Akkadian language, and from there to others such as Hurrian and Hittite."
This means that cuneiform definitely predates the deluge and the tower of babel stories, but the WT are brazen enough to point to it as proof for their stupid logic.

My first cigar
by LivingTheDream inmy first cigar.
not soon after i faded, i was on a company shindig and they were providing hand rolled cigars to everybody there.
i watched in amazement as this dominican guy rolled them in front of my eyes with great care and skill.

I actually got started on cigarillos while I was still in and just beginning my fade. Weapon of choice was either Captain Black sweets or Panther Noir little cigars. Since then I've upgraded to full-size anything I can get my hands on.

In Canada it's rather complicated to own a handgun but I bought a nice little .22 rifle for my fiancée for her birthday. Next purchase is going to be a shotgun for shooting clays. I have no interest in home defense since it's essentially illegal to use a firearm for that purpose anyway.

On the topic of old world vs new world monkeys, do some research on dentition patterns and prehensile tails. This was like a sledgehammer to my closely-held WT view on evolution.

You know what, jackass? I've been out of the cult for five years happily living my life and not generally giving a crap about the witnesses so excuse me if I'm out of the loop when it concerns their official stance on facebook. The mormons seem to be using it to great effect so who's to say the WT hasn't flip-flopped in that time period if you haven't been keeping track?
Take your condescending bullshit elsewhere, prick. Besides, if you bothered to read the entire thread, I admitted at the top of this page that the facebook site was being run by "a small group of brothers at Brooklyn Bethel and Patterson" so again, kindly f*** off.

Yeah, you're right, upon further inspection, the site reads: We represent a small group of brothers working from Brooklyn Bethel and Patterson, but not in any official media or public relations capacity.
However, I still followed up with the following question: Hi, I'm ** and thank you for the reply. In response to your offer for further clarification I'll bring up just one more question relative to your mention of the ice caps. It is universally accepted that these large deposits of ice are laid down in stra ta that can be counted both visually and chemically, leaving a reliable record of ice layers that go back hundreds of thousands of years. Tellingly, there is no evidence of a catastrophic global deluge. Is it not possible, then, that the flood was local or even allegorical? We'll see if that merits a reply.
