I've never experienced any problems. I guess it's because I'm a mellow, neutral guy so I don't tend to raise hackles and I don't contribute to gossip.
You wouldn't know it from talking to my parents, though. They're constantly bitching about something or other and when my Dad was an elder he had his tires slashed. My Grandfather was an equally cantankerous character and he has his long-running feuds as well.
It seems to depend on what you bring to the table.

Jehovah invented the sword, according to Genesis.
by marmot inso much for a loving god if you're a bible apologist and take genesis literally.
"after he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the garden of eden cherubim and a *flaming sword* flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.

Or how about it was just a collection of semitic mythology?
Adam and Eve were not historical figures that started the human race in 4026BC. People were around long before that. There are many sites around the world that show ice-age megafauna kills with stone tools and projectile points in-situ. A prehistoric bison skeleton was found in Folsom, New Mexico in 1927 with a spear point embedded in the scapula. The find was dated to more than 8000 years ago. Going even further, projectiles identified with a site in Clovis, New Mexico have been dated to over 13000 years ago and these have been found in direct association with mammoth skeletons.
By 6000 BC there was already an established art-producing culture in the middle East called Halaf.
Interestingly enough, the first cities and written forms of language emerged around 4000 BC. This coincides with the biblical account of the appearance of Adam. -

Can you say SATAN?!?!
by Uzzah inwhat is your stance on the devil, satan, demons etc?
personally i find the concept of the devil as presented in scripture to be purely symbolic of humankind's ability to chose to do good or evil.
the development of a moral compass unique to each person.. with many ancient beliefs, people tried to humanize concepts in order to better understand.

Yo Aleman, I've got NO problem whatsoever with the almighty popping up to lay the smack down. Odds are, though, that both you and I are going to die of old age (barring any freak accidents or illnesses).
If living your life in constant expectation is what makes you happy, by all means go for it. Don't expect to find a listening ear around here though. I hope you don't think that visiting these websites counts as field service, 'cause you'd probably be viewed with a suspicious eye if ever it was revealed that you were engaging in discussion on an apostate website. -

Dude, you owe it to yourself to go back to it. Awesome freaking game, plus there's boobies after the first level.
I almost beat it on "God" difficulty but it really kicked my ass on the last level so I gave up. The sequel is a bit shorter experience but it's just as fun. -

Figures they'd use this technology for warfare.
The PROPER use for a cloak of invisibility is for getting into the women's locker rooms, dammit! -

Ooooh, that was a bit much no?
Besides, by that reasoning the U.S. should be bombing Saudi Arabia, since there don't seem to have been any Iraqi or Afghan hijackers. -

Haha, nice! Thanks for posting that QFR.
It's funny how Moses was supposed to be using poetic forms to convey ideas when talking about a burning sword, but talking snakes are literal.
