Another method of witness time-wasting
by ldrnomo inyesterday as i was getting ready to go out i noticed from my bedroom window two women dressed in witness garb heading toward my house i didn't recognize them so when i answered the door they asked me if i was spanish speaking i said no and they then asked me if i knew of anyone the the neighborhood that was and i said no they thanked me and went off to the next door (doing the pioneer shuffle) to ask the same question.
so this must have taken up a whole morning.
my wife and i thought they could have spent their time so much more affectivly sitting in a coffee shop and saying olaaaa to each customer that came in and when one answered back they could have spewed their bs on them in spanish..

dinner tonight
by wizardca injust had to share this..... had dinner at my jdub grandparents house tonight.
my uncle was there (technically a jdub but is fading) sporting a nifty gray beard.
he goes to a meeting and no one says anything (not that they go all that often or has any responsibilities).

at the memorial when do the annoited drink of the cup and eat of the bread?

they siad it happens in a back room in private.... is this true?
i was only young maybe it was just a throw off answer...... i always felt that holding the wine and bread publicly for a few seconds and then passing it on was a direct public denial of yahushua's instruction.........

went to the memorial this year...it keeps the family sane....new blood was there and kept attempting to partake of the bread n wine. it took all the strength in me to not start laughing at the new blood's
cult leaderbible study conductor(?) attempts to stop her. quite amusing.my grandmother makes the bread for her congregation....i've had it...meh, it's like eating grape nuts. it needs butter to make it worth eating. i can pass, thanks.

Yes I do recall being dragged out in Field Circus on Christmas Day. I never did think it was ok to interrupt people on holidays. Least the meeting for Field Circus was moved back to let them have their time. How thoughtful, huh?

Merging Congregations

my sister commented how their congregation is shrinking by leaps and bounds...they are getting about 50 people attending the watchtower/public talk on sundays.
one of their elders is moving out of the area and rumors abound they may merge with another cong due to low attendance.

My sister commented how their congregation is shrinking by leaps and bounds...they are getting about 50 people attending the Watchtower/Public Talk on Sundays. One of their elders is moving out of the area and rumors abound they may merge with another cong due to low attendance. My grandfather (former PO, current elder and city overseer) mentioned that they might be merging with 2 other halls early in 2008. Grandfather blamed the possible merges on people moving out of the expensive to live in area. But then my sister chimed in that Spanish congregations in the same area are still growing by leaps and bounds. She knows one where they average 250 on Sunday that's looking to split.
Is it that the english congregations have people wising up to the cult status? Why aren't the spanish congregations following suit? Any ideas?

How can they care more about their meetings than their family?
by student1 ini have not posted for a good while now as have not felt the need, .
am living in the real world away from jdub hell.. escaped dissing and now have a few friends (some ex jdub and some that have no clue what a jdub is!!
my sister and i were extremely close but my departure has seperated us and we now rarely see each other.

indoctrination sessionmeeting and there ya go.
