  i'll never forget the assembly in madison, wi.

  where some poor sap had to tell everyone that he had become addicted to porno on the net, but through much prayerful contemplation and after confessing to the elders he was able to come to "grips" with it.. good luck to that guy with ever getting a fine sister to marry him.. poor guy.

  i really felt sorry for him.

  How do people continue to buy into the Watchtower???

  folks,.

  with all the information out there, available for all to see; exposing the lies,hypocrisy, and outright ridiculousness (is that a word?..if not it should be) of this whole witness religion, how in the world are people still buying into this?.

  is it because i don't have jehovah's spirit anymore?

  They do have a very good sales pitch, and are prepared for most bible questions people have. Unless these people LOOK for differing opinions then they are only exposed to the JW answers. They will accept the strawman explanations because they do sound convincing. Add to that the love bombing and it looks really great to isolated lonely people.

  i've straightened myself out concerning what i'm going to do about my life.

  i am going to be reinstated (hopefully), just to get in and then fade away.

  my problem is that i don't want to lie if i'm asked a direct question.

  i'm not a jw, but am very curious about the religion.

  what are the rules of the religion to follow regarding staying in the hospital?

  you can't accept any blood transfusions whatsoever, even if it is your own blood you've previous set aside for your own transfusion?

  Doctors and hospitals are ok. Operations and even orgran transplants are OK (although orgran transplants were previously banned).

  Upcoming Elders Schooling

  it's no secret that the "organization" has increased it's cia, national security clerance only super-secret attitude in regards to the elder school that is going to be conducted soon.

  a few days ago, i had a conversation with an elder who has been in the fold all of his life practically.

  in keeping with the conversation style of jws, the gentleman told me that nobody knows what exactly will be taught at the meetings, but in his backdoor conversations with some brothers who seem to be tuned into the bethel's officially, unofficial, communications network, the elders are going to be taught "post-armageddon" teachings.

  this is what darth frosty was talking about in his post the other day (http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/149460/1.ashx).

  this is a collection of confidential letters from the watchtower society that were sent to the bodies of elders in the years 1981 through 2006. these are the letters that you were never meant to see or read.. there's all sorts of information in them ranging from the boring and mundian to instructions about how to handle child molesters.. many thanks to darth frosty and others (who i'm not sure can be named) who worked very hard and took risks to collect and scan the information.

  I Am Legend JW email

  so my sister-in-law, who is a pretty hardcore jw, showed me an email that looked like it had been passed around quite a bit, so i figured someone on here had probably seen it.

  supposedley it's a picture from the movie "i am legend" where will smith is walking through new york and all the buildings in the background are in ruins except for the bethel building, which stands out, undamaged and clean.

  i watched the movie and don't remember seeing anything like that so i just figured that some jw photoshopped it and sent it out to the jw community to show that the bethel building is protected by god even in a post apocaliptical world run over with zombie vampires.

  But they're NOT dead. They're happily working away inside printing books in the zombie language. Pleased as punch that so many of the evil doers around them are now dead. Is it a stretch to believe the bethel workers are zombies?

  When I was 9 I fractured my arm. My parents took me to the meeting that night anyway. I guess they did not know the 3 F rule.

  Dont blame your parents Changeling. The 3Fs may be "new light". Perhaps they only had 2Fs back then. The new light is a truly awesome way to see gods spirit in action. We are a blessed people.

  I find it really interresting how these little rules spread so widely. Although not part of the official doctrine, they seem to get spread very well. Is this by design from the top? Or do you think the elders are just eating this stuff up when they hear it and then can't wait to repeat it whenever it's their turn to give a talk?
