what jw beliefs did you make up for your own sanity?.
for me it was regarding the flood.
instead of believing that god had destroyed millions of people, i imagined that because of all the violence, by the time the flood came, the only people besides noah and his family that were still alive were the nephilim.
Meaning, if you die before committing murder lets say, you are better off than if you had actually committed that murder. That is how I rationalize The Flood at least.
Following that line of reasoning - it would be mercifull to kill all babies now before they can commit any sins.
Personally I believed that the big J would give loads of people a wink and let them into the new system even thought they didn't technially qualify.

I find it's hard to keep up as well. Sometimes posts get totally overlooked because they're not on the first few pages. I hope some day the forum gets an update with features like an option to show only messages posted since your last visit.

today in our rehersal, i met with our district convension overseer.
he told us that college or higher education is now strongly discouraged by the society.
i argued that such policy is not practical here in the philippines since most jobs now require some sort of college education unlike in other countries where there are demands on skills regardless on educational attainment.
All DC parts are manuscript now.

I just ordered mine a few minutes ago from Amazon. Along with "Combating cult mind control", and a book on Evolution for my 5 year old. I figure if the wife's going to go mental about recieving evil books in the post - might as well get it all over at once. I also got a funny book for her as well, and a potty training book for the 2 year old so she doesn't feel left out.
Another thing to be stressed over for the next couple weeks till it arives.

i've had this idea for a few days, just mulling how to flesh it out if you will.
it may not be a new idea, but i'll try to get it out coherently.. lets say there is a guy, he's a jw but has been surfing the net and knows now that the wts is bogus.
he can't just leave, he has family-wife and young children who are in the borg.
Downside - lying to your family. While they MAY appreciate that you had to do this to get them out, they may also resent it.
get a tub of fresh chicken livers.
rinse, dry with a paper towel and dredge them in a beaten egg and roll them in bread crumbs mixed with some garlic and onion salt, paprika, black pepper and a little chili powder.. fry them in about a 1/2 inch of hot oil to a nice golden brown (the liver cooks before the batter browns so don't worry about raw liver).
drain and cool.
mmm. sounds like a trip to the butchers is needed.
