  it's strange and i'm not sure if it's because of my upbringing, but i just can't be pro-choice.

  i just don't see the rational justification (other than a situation where the mother's life is in danger).

  i don't, however, see a problem with stuff like the morning-after pill, when the embryo is just a group of cells with no consciousness.

  here is my beef to the whole thing. i control me and my house. i don't care what you do in your house as long as it doesnt affect mine. that is the bottom line. i don't need the government or anyone else to tell me how to run my affairs. as long as the exercise of my freedoms doesn't compromise yours, more power to me and vice versa.

  OK - so should you be allowed to do anything you want "in your house"? Can you kill your children who happen to be out of the womb? My points here are that this is a slippery slope. If you allow killing of humans lightly in some cases, then this can be used to justify other things which are still currently considered sinister. Community morality adapts over time. We have to be careful about this. To me - the important part is - WHEN does the baby begin to have feelings? It certainly does in the womb in later months. Any mother can tell you about her unborn baby's feelings - when they're sleeping, or frightened.

  (correct me if incorrect please) what exactly is it being remembered; jesus death, resurrection, birth?

  i'm still trying to understand all this; not for debats but for understanding and getting my family to understand certain areas that they may not realize is incorrect (when it is truly incorrect).

  " this in the context of a wt discussing the israelites' exodus from egypt and how jehovah had them into a position where there seemed "no way out".

  for me it was the fact that god is allowing all these innocent people to get killed to prove a point ,i mean it was a big bet he had with satan.. i explained it to my wife this way if i had our children killed in the most horriable way just to show they couldn't live without me how does that make me look?.

  That the animals in the future would return to their "original" purpose and not devour each other. That all of their kill-or-escape features had previous vegerian aspects that the animals just forgot about (probably because of mans evil example). Despite the fact that dinosours are found with other dinosours in their bellies. Or did Satan arange the bones that way to confuse us?

  And I'm sorry my memory has forgotten already who said it on the first page but it bears a repeat...any two idiots can make a baby -- the miracle lies in raising a happy child. Amen sister - and preach on!

  So it'd be ok to kill all the trailer-trash kids under 2 years old?

  The argument is made that these unwanted children would not benefit society in general, and therefore will not be missed. Using this argument you could justify killing everyone in prision or in 3rd world countries where nobody is contirubting to society because they're just struggling to stay alive. Allowing people to freely choose to kill on a whim because of the inconvenience of the other person's existence is just sick.

  Have there been any orphans in history who have made contirubtions to our society? Would it have been OK to kill them because their lives were inconvenient at the time?

  these are serious questions that kill all the silly beliefs about how the earth or universe got here..and here is why.

  think about this for a second we would not be here if nothing for all existence did not exist.

  Blackboo - When you make bold statments about things you don't understand, the only possible outcome is embarrasing yourself. You admit that you don't understand the proposed methods of evolution. You don't understand the structure of DNA and the processes of mutation.

  Do yourself a favor - Take a college course (if your faith allows this), or if not - read some books. I don't mean to try to disprove it. Before you can convincingly disprove something - you have to understand it. I mean really read it and try to understand the complexities of it. Sure - biochemistry is an extremely deep subject, but there are introductory text that will give you all you need.

  If that's too complex - then do as others have indicated - look at the animal kingdom. Think about the "grand designs" and what they suggest about the nature of their creator. Why do spiders paralyze their victims with nerve toxin until they are ready to be consumed. What kind of nightmare is that. Why does every creature have features designed specifically for killing, or not being killed. Violence is what drives evolution. It makes total sense. Does it make sense that a loving God would create everything to kill each other? Or would he have made everything vegetarian? And dont tell us this changed after the flood! There is a huge body of fossil evidence of dinosours with crunched up littler dinosours in their bellies! Animals have always eaten each other.

  And just because 95% of intelligent people in the world accept evolution as fact, doesn't mean that they don't beleive in God having kicked off the process. In fact I think about 45% of american scientists DO belive that God started up evoluion. But again - if you believe this, then the creation must reflect god's personality. Think abou it.

  REALLY think about it, and come back to us after you at least understand what you're aruging against.

  ..A Bird with 5 Toes..

  good evening jwd!

  !..i`ve got a mystery here,in the canadian wilderness.....i`ve found tracks of a creature in the snow,i can`t identify.....it`s a bird of some sort..but..it`s frigg`n huge!

  !..it`s feet are as big as my hand..i`ve got a 100lb "husky dog" whose feet aren`t that big.....it has 5 toes..4 toes up front..and..1 in the back.....the 2 middle toes are the same length,the 2 side toes are smaller but also equal in length..the whole foot is a "v_shape,with a large toe at the back of the foot.......what the hell kind of a bird,has 5 toes and feet that frigg`n big???..lol!

  I'm pretty sure it's the species known as Sesamus Maximus
