  i went to see prince in concert at the o2 in london last week.

  i didn't really want to go, he's not my thing but my wife wanted to see him so i went along for the ride.

  he is actually an extremely talented guitarist and pianist and he can sing too.

  thought i'd share this snipit i learned about 2 years ago.

  back when i still attended as a teenager, there was this dorky, kinda fat, shy elder's son who never fit in at school.

  he was a totally sheltered weenie, and of course his elder father had high expectations for his boy!!

  I know how you feel. I think it is one of the major reasons my hubby never went ahead in his field to say bachelors or masters. It would have taken too much time. I'm slowly letting him know that he deserves either one and should go for it. Hopefully there is nothing to hold him back now other than his family keeping hope alive with all the nagging of going back.

  My Cong- "Large Witness Gatherings are Banned!! And fancy dress? Why?

  a year ago in my cong, an elder who must be hitler's love child, gets up and tells us how some brothers are planning a fancy dress party, a large social gathering.

  sounds fun i though!

  "brothers a sincere christian would not attend such a gathering, we are warning you not to go near it.

  I ran into a friends mother at the movies the other day and didn't notice till after the movie that she had not said hello to my husband. She hugged me and we chatted while he purchased the tickets ( about 3ft away) and when he came up to me she politely said her goodbye and didn't even acknowledge him. Violence is a bad thing right?! mo^&* F(&*%ers!

  i remember the jw parties that i went to, complete with wholesome jw activities.

  the jw do a lot of miming games where they portray an imagined character.

  let see what else....... a lot of pioneer sisters (why were they all sisters?

  One thing i've noticed when i go to weddings or so forth with my hubby is the organization. I giggle silently when they ANNOUNCE to please watch your children, keep them from going in and out of the door, or, "okay brothers and sisters, we will now going to eat and the line forms over here..." Are you kidding me? I asked this of a friend (jw) and she explained that without order and instruction you create chaos. Jeeez...

  I read somewhere before that he "went back" because it was his dying mother's wish, anybody know if this is true?
