Are there any known JW doctors?
by 4mylove ini think there is one at my hospital because of what a coworker said one time in reference to blood doctrine.
i can't imagine them going into medicine with all the time it requires, between school, residency, etc.
just wondering

Interesting NWT translation deviation
by B_Deserter inwikipedia artice.
i was reading a little bit about lilith and i noticed the list about 1/4 down the page showing what various modern translations render the hebrew lilit in isaiah 34:14. i found it interesting that while most translations render it in an accurate form (night monster, vampire, night hag, lilith, or night creature), the nwt breaks with this and renders it "nightjar," which is a common nocturnal bird.
do you think the society rendered this verse so that it would make isaiah seem less of a myth (talking about vampires and demons of the night doesn't really help the bible stay on the credibility wagon)?

Don't Overthink The Watchtower Society
by metatron ini often read various attempts at explanations of whatever changes the watchtower society comes up.
with that suggest a collective intelligence greater than anything i've actually observed.
when i left bethel, many years ago, i believed that jehovah was guiding this organization because i. didn't see much depth of intelligence in the governing body.

Metatron, it has always seemed to me like some witnesses feel intelligent because it is the only thing in their life that they've ever "studied". The superiority given to the elders sickens me.

Spanish congo's, different?
by 4mylove inmy hubby went to a spanish congo and it seems that they operate a little differently.
is this accurate?
example, i don't think my father in law goes out in service, and he's a big ol' witness.

My hubby went to a spanish congo and it seems that they operate a little differently. Is this accurate? Example, I don't think my father in law goes out in service, and he's a big ol' witness. I've noticed that the people they call on are usually down and out (spanish and english).
Has anyone ever noticed slight differences?
I'm trying to research Ex witness info in spanish to one day give it to my mother in law if she tries to hand me her info again.

Sure they are not. That is why my BIL hasn't tried to contact my husband in 4 or 5 years and why when he have seen him he gives him as warm a welcome as a walmart greeter. no wait the greeter is warmer.
