Reasoning From The Scriptures 1989 p. 88 Creation
Was all physical creation accomplished in just six days sometime within the past 6,000 to 10,000 years?
The facts disagree with such a conclusion: (1) Light from the Andromeda nebula can be seen on a clear night in the northern hemisphere. It takes about 2,000,000 years for that light to reach the earth, indicating that the universe must be at least millions of years old. (2) End products of radioactive decay in rocks in the earth testify that some rock formations have been undisturbed for billions of years.
"Consider the relationship between Jehovah and Jesus. They were together in heaven for perhaps billions of years."

Has the WTS changed its view on carbon dating?
by Jourles ini remember back to my high school days when the blue evolution or creation book was all the rage.
in it, i recall the wts using several reasons as to why we cannot trust carbon dating whatsoever.
has there been any change in their thinking in the last 15 or so years or any new developments on this front?

Why the Governing Body Calls Us "Apostates"
by t33ap80c inwhy the governing body calls us "apostates".
in their article about "propaganda" the governing body explains that one of the "tricks and tactics" that "cunning propagandists" use is "name-calling".
"name-calling slaps anegative, easy-to-remember label onto a person, a group, or an idea.

Hi Don,
The tactic of discrediting their critics is called "poisoning the well".
Another one they use is bait and switch. They start talking about "truth" and then they will switch to "rights".
Kingdom Halls are set up so which ever way you go, you have to walk past a printed soliciting for cash called a "Contribution Box". That's a version of the "four corner stall".
Literature is regularly written using a straw man tactic, that is debating an issue that's not the issue.
The Society uses shills to get people to follow. They use the Judas Goat tactic. Some pioneers are Judas Goats as are all of the Governing Body members. They want us to believe that Don Adams is powerless. -

Hi Atlantis,
I had a busy week. I'm fine and I don't plan any breaks from helping my friends:-) Thanks for the inquiry. I got two new listings . . . put one on MLS Thursday and got a contract on it Friday. Plus I am trying to get outside painting done on a couple rental properties, put new storm windows on my shop, and get a vacant apartment cleaned and painted and ready to rent.
I been busier than a one armed wallpaper hanger.
Keep up the good work. You're a big help to me. Thanks! -

I'd rather spend an hour with a good foot reflexology therapist than almost anything. I've been getting foot reflexology treatments since I was an adolescent. I wore out a couple therapists. The last one was pretty good. She used hard rubber balls and rolled em on my feet. Awesome!
My favorite was reflexology using a silk cloth. Something about the silk added to the good zone.
Now it cost $45 an hour and that's not in my budget for a weekly session. -

The Witnesses are not concerned about "truth", they are concerned about "right". Separate truth from the right. Ask them if this is true or right. They'll justify something absolutely crazy by showing that it's "right".

Dwight D. Eisenhower
by Wordly Andre ini found this on the web:
eisenhower's family originally belonged to the local river brethren sect of the mennonites.
however, when ike was five years old, his parents became followers of the watchtower society, whose members later took the name jehovah's witnesses.

So when the Witnesses brag about their standing up to Hitler just remind them that it was an ex-Witness who rode on a Sherman tank into Berlin and got them out of Nazi concentration camps. Not one active Witness helped them.

How to stump someone that believes the noah's flood happened.
by 5go inone of the key peices of evidence that people sight to try to prove the flood happen is the fact the most cultures have a flood myth or story as they put it.. i was just watching a program that also points out the most, if not all cultures believe in dragons.
even cultures that evolve in isolation have beliefs in dragons and they are all simular though not the same.
just like the flood myth.. so if they believe the flood happened because so many cultures have flood stories.

changes in how the society does their taxes. why?
by Calliope ini just got off the phone with my dad, who has some kind of responsibility in his kh, i forget all the terms now, but he does the accounting.
he's told me that they no longer have congregations doing their individual tax returns, but the society does it all now.
so i innocently asked what that means "like you don't tabulate the donations anymore, you send the info to the society, and they submit it to the government?".

Now we know what they are using all the sky scrapers in New York for. They have untrained volunteers trying to do 100,000 tax returns.
Is Bethel doing the returns for free? Or are they charging the congregations? Why do I think I already know the answer?
