I was "subconsciously" a believing walkaway for 18 years before I confronted my Witness past. I hadn't realized how much damage my parents, relatives, and the Witness people had done to my psyche. My whole life had been one big conflict during that 18 years.
It's good to get past it. Welcome to the forum.

Every Witness that cut me out of their life did me a favor. My life just keeps getting better and better. The best thing I can have between me and a Witness is distance. I found when I had Witnesses for friends, I didn't have any friends.

What happened to Rutherfords wife and son?
by donny indoes anyone know what happened to rutherfords wife and son?
i had read somewhere he had sent them away, but what was the reason?
with the society's emphasis on how important the family unit is, how is rutherfords case explained?

I was thinking Mrs Rutherford lived at Beth Shan but she apparently didn't. I must have dreamt that one night.

Hi Princess Daisy Boo, My grandson is a typical boy. No fear of worms, spiders, or bugs. In fact the bigger, the better:-)
Hi OUTLAW, It's taken many years for all those stars to line up for this picture. Thanks for your kind words. I get a big kick out of your posts. Keep em up:-)
Howdy chickpea, My grandson used to have a longer hair style until he did some experimenting with a scissor one day a month or so ago and gave himself a reverse Mohawk. His grandmother gave him a even out job. I liked it so well I got one myself.
Hey OnTheWayOut, You see right:-) I delight in seeing him grow up and I grieve that at the same time. I remember the axiom: Either the son is better than the father, or both are failures.
My son and I are both successes. -

Hi HappyDad, We had a great day! Flew our toy helicopter up on the roof of the house, chased the neighbor's cat, went swimming at the pool and just got out of a warm bubble bath.
Hope all is well with you. -

Hi jamiebowers, You wrote: "Sorry, can't bowl--partially paralyzed leg gets in the way."
I can't bowl for other reasons.
I have had a problem lifting my right leg. (Good thing I'm not a dog) It really bothered on steps. I went to the doctor and told him I have a problem walking up stairs. He said don't walk up any stairs and come back in two weeks. Of course I missed the appointment.
When I finally got back, the doctor wanted to know why I missed the last appointment. I told him I couldn't get out of the basement.
I have a disintegrating disc in my back, L4. It pinches a nerve to my right leg.
