They put magazines in your door? I'm pissed! Here the slime-balls throw the magazines on the ground. The last time they solicited my neighborhood I picked up 7 Awake! magazines off the ground around my building. They toss em out like the paperboy.
I actually respect the paperboy. I think the Witnesses are just scum!

by SnakesInTheTower ini come home from work yesterday evening and i was already in a foul mood from having a very unproductive day (which was followed by an even worse day today...not good when one is commission only).
i open my screen door and what do i find rolled up in my door knob?
you guessed it.... current (may 09) "public" edition of the wacktower and asleep!

It's not fair
by Luo bou to incut off from my family rejected by my wife ( spiritual endangerment ) and there was and still is not a damn thing i can do about it.
pisses me off.... no justice.
hey i am not looking for sympathy my life is pretty good its just frustrating to have family that are not dead yet might as well be..

The only thing that shocked me was how willfully mean the Witness people can be when they want to be. Accepting that the Witness people are exercising their own free will when they disrespect me and people important to me took some time.
I'm not in the club that thinks the adult Witness people are victims. In fact that idea is offensive to me. They're just nasty people who've found a fertile environment as members of the Witness hate club. The only thing I wish for them is that they slow rot in their own pain. -

Friends, Study Partners, and then GONE...
by ptucker8357 inabout a year and 12 ago, after much conversation with a jw co-worker, we began a formal study.
we studied religiously (no pun intended) almost every week unless i was on business travel or there was a sickness or other item that precluded us from getting together.. .
during that process, we became very strong, close friends... at least that is what i thought was happening.

North Carolina's a really pretty state. I rode all of the Blue Ridge Parkway twice and from Boone to Cherokee once. Spent a week in Asheville. I hated to leave.
If I had to re-locate in the United States, Asheville would be in the top 10.The last JW elder I saw, pissed himself when he saw me and I hadn't even yelled "BOO!" yet.

Nobody hates Jehovah's Witnesses more than the Watch Tower Society. The Watch Tower Society thinks Jehovah's Witnesses are idiots. I agree. -

I was at my first door alone at age 7 in 1951. Coerced into baptism at age 12. I made it all the way up to microphone boy. I was fired from that privilege of service for not wearing a necktie on the job. I didn't like being a Witness, I mostly didn't like the Witness people, and they overfilled my bullshit bucket.
I kicked the kingdom hall door in 1974 when I saw the year-text. I was fractionally shunned from 1974 until 1992. From 1992 until present I am fully shunned. I actually like "fully shunned" better.
This is the best life I've ever had. I don't like the Witness people and I advocate to their detriment. I don't want any Witnesses to leave the cult and I have scores to settle with more than a few. I'm always on the lookout for settlement opportunities. -

How would you respond if a Witness tells you that you are "negative?"
by BonaFide inwhen i bring a subject up and then talk about old wt's or the blood fraction, i occasionally get that response.. yes, i know i can reply, "but i am telling you the truth.
don't you want the truth?".
but i am looking for something more subtle, something that can help a witness to get beyond their cognitive dissonance.. but without a standoff.

Need help: JW friend links every NT teaching to 144,000 only
by whyizit inyou know what i mean: every time she reads a passage in the nt, she instantly applies it to the 144,000 chosen anointed ones.
even though there is absolutely no reason whatsoever to make that connection.
i have even asked how her gurus have made that connection biblically.

The only possible way to look at the Bible with a Watch Tower Witness is with the book closed. Look at the history of the book and the assumptions used to form the opinions of the book. Look at superstition, ritual, and tradition and how those are used to manipulate vulnerable people.
As a side bar: I like friends who are rational, intelligent, and educated. No Jehovah's Witness I know fits that profile. Get a better grade of friends and life will be better. Don't waste time trying to educate an idiot. -
