I wouldn't let my kids within 100 miles of a believing Jehovah's Witness, ESPECIALLY a Witness relative! No way!

my fathr is writing a letter to gb about my childs abuse and the coverup
by looloo inhad the elders reported the abuse of two other children to the police years ago then the perp would not have got around to abusing my child , they must change the policies on reporting to the police in all cases not just unrepentant paedophiles , any ideas on what he could say in the letter (he is not a dub) we have not had an apology either .

He needs to write the letter to the religion editor of the nearest large daily newspaper. You need to call the police and report the abuse if you haven't already done so. I wouldn't waste the postage on the Watch Tower body of governors.

I agree again. If there are no consequences for people who disrespect me and my family, what's to discourage them from continuing? If I'm going to be disrespected, it's gonna be from a distance. I'd think 100 miles is a minimum distance. -

The Watch Tower Corporation advocates against me and my family's best interests. The corporation and the people who work there by their own free will choice are my enemies. I'm glad some workers are getting shafted. Good! I'd shaft em myself if I could.

Alarming statement in today's study article in WT...
by Mickey mouse inparagraph 15: "as we get nearer to the outbreak of the great tribulation, we may well receive some detailed instructions.
our safe journey through those troublesome days will depend on our keeping in step with other loyal servants of jehovah.
" this in the context of a wt discussing the israelites' exodus from egypt and how jehovah had them into a position where there seemed "no way out".

Upcoming Elders Schooling
by Questions1 init's no secret that the "organization" has increased it's cia, national security clerance only super-secret attitude in regards to the elder school that is going to be conducted soon.
a few days ago, i had a conversation with an elder who has been in the fold all of his life practically.
in keeping with the conversation style of jws, the gentleman told me that nobody knows what exactly will be taught at the meetings, but in his backdoor conversations with some brothers who seem to be tuned into the bethel's officially, unofficial, communications network, the elders are going to be taught "post-armageddon" teachings.

The Witness life is a poker game using people and lives for chips. They bet the end is near and the Society is God's channel. I bet my evenings and weekends it was true. My brother bet his education it was true. My first wife bet her cancer treatment it was true.
I personally know people who bet their kid's medical treatment, bet their jobs, their retirement savings, their marriages, relationships with their parents and children, their happiness, health, and standard of living.
In my opinion, that's a high stakes poker game. And Witnesses say they don't gamble. Ha! -

Where do I find the numbers of the mass JW exodus cause of 1975?
by middleman inhey yall, i'm looking to see what book/books that show the rapid decline of jw membership, cause of the failed 75 prediction.
i've read from different internet sources it was around 800,000 from the mid 70's to 1980. is there a particular jw book i can find this in?
maybe i could compare the mid 70's yearbooks?

When I saw the year text for 1974 (If the fig tree fails to bloom . . . ) I kicked the Kingdom Hall door on the way out. I knew that text had been decided on and printed in 1973 and all the 1975 hype was just a scam.
I didn't like being a Witness and I didn't like many of the Witness people. It was hard for me to be a Witness on a good day. Seeing that year text was a light bulb moment for me. The genie was out of the bottle. The Witness people made it easy for me to quit associating with them. When I quit, not one contacted me for 9 years, then two elders made a surprise visit on me.
I asked the two elders 10 questions and they never answered even one to this day. That was 1984. I wasn't shunned or snubbed until 1992 when my Witness relatives disfellowshipped me. They actually did me a favor. That's when I read COC and started on my research and re-education. In 1995 I went on the offensive. That worked very well. If ya want to see an elder run like a rat in a spot light, go after em with a newspaper reporter. -

Peoples temple cult
by jacethespace ini just watched a documentary about the peoples temple cult and was suprised to find there is some intresting similarites between there attitude beliefs and the watchtower society.. they began as an ordinary group intrested in morals and god and jim jones gradually manipulated them to the point of murder and suicide.. he would reprimand people in front of the whole congregation playing on peoples fears and guilt to the point where sometimes he would encourage others to hit a " wrongdoer".as he got more control over the people they feared to leave and anyone that spoke about leaving was turned in by there own family, hmm that sounds familar.
jim jones feared some that got out and tried to shield the congregation from bad press which is why around 900 were " encouraged " to leave america and go to guyana to what they called jonestown.he told his members that they couldnt leave and that the world would harm them if they ever left.. at one time he passed around a cup to drink and then told the congregation they had drank poison then after they panicked he told them it wasnt true he was just " testing to see how loyal they would be to him".. when they moved to jonestown they set up there own paradise.they grew there own food and made themselves completly independant from the outside world.they built there own homes and would have no outside information except a loudspeaker which jim jones spoke over and used recorded speechs on even throughout the night.he was telling them that the whole world was coming to turn on them and kill them and take away what they had.. when they said they wanted to leave he would say they were committing " blasphemy" by leaving and they would change there mind.. sadly at the end they encouraged mass suicide and took with them a visiting congressman.. paradise quickly turned into chaos and a nightmare and it got me thinking about the wachtowers utopian dream of paradise on earth.if they watchtower cant get things right now how the hell are they going to be capable of governing the whole planet in " the new system.. this isnt the same documentary but heres a link to one documentary about the peoples temple.

"When you meet the friendliest people you have ever known, who introduce you to the most loving group of people you've ever encountered, and you find the leader to be the most inspired, caring, compassionate and understanding person you've ever met, and then you learn that the cause of the group is something you never dared hope could be accomplished, and all of this sounds too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true! Don't give up your education, your hope and ambitions to follow a rainbow."
- Jeanne Mills, former member of the People's Temple and subsequent victim of assassination a year following the Nov. 18, 1978 Jonestown suicides/murders of 911 adults and children.
