  Welcome to reality, gilwarrior! Glad to have you with us. One short word of advice: take your time about forming serious relationships. It would be good if you could spend a year or three just getting to know yourself well, before you get all wrapped up in getting to know somebody else.

  An all-time classic truth revealed through a movie is that scene in "When Harry Met Sally" where he explains to her that men can't have women as friends because they're always wanting to "nail 'em."

  Tyydyy, you're spot on with all this, except for one:

  Computer - So you can have cyberSEX.

  Not me. When asked, I say, "Thanks, I appreciate the offer, but I prefer physical contact with my sex."

  just one thing though.. i don't have a diana ross wig... i have a blonde sort of slapper wig... i think that may be too over the top!

  Black and slinky would work very well, assuming you accessorize. I'd say the blonde wig would work well with black, too. Go for the contrast. Black patent leather pumps, too, if you have them, just to add that extra touch of class.

  Going to a meeting after 6 years...

  just some suggestions really!

  i would like to attend a meeting at the kh down the road with my boyfriend as he has never had any dealngs with the dubs and is intereted as to what they do so thought it an idea to take him to a meeting... now my questions are these... what should we wear?

  i don't have a brown suit anymore... and all my ties are rather flashy... also is there a smoking section in the hall these days?

  In lieu of your brown suit, I suggest something subtle, understated... your sequined gown, faux white foxfur throw and Diana Ross wig, for example.

  first of all id like to say hello to everyone on this website, and to thank and acknowledge each and every one of you for your individuality, personal experience, and in some cases, commitment to truth.. having read some of the heartfelt topics and posts here have served to be a great encouragement to me, more than some could imagine.

  my name is jason, and i am a recovering ex-jw.. i guess this would be an ideal time to tell my life story as an abbreviated version, so here goes.. i was "born into, or raised" in the organization.

  I haven't questioned your honesty. I said that your story had inconsistencies in it, which it does; I've mentioned them in previous posts, and obviously you have read those posts, so you know what they are. I asked you to explain them, which you have not done.

  I haven't questioned your integrity, although your continued avoidance of the points I've raised is starting to make it look questionable all by itself.

  You haven't gotten any BS from me. I asked you about some inconsistencies in your story. That's all. Are you having trouble explaining them?

  jesus said that the wheat and the non-wheat were growing together to the end!

  are true good persons a special area of human being or just individuals showing inner qualities?

  According to JWs, the ones who respond to their message are "sighing and moaning over the detestable things being done in the earth." Therefore, by JW theology, there are "good people" in the world: all the ones who haven't responded to their message yet.
