My scriptural proof are as follows,

John 2:19 "Jesus answered them, 'Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up.' The Jews then said, 'It has taken 46 years to build this temple and you will raise it up again in three days?' But he was speaking of the temple of his body."

Luke 24:39 "Touch me and see. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have." (read whole context it speaks volumes of Jesus bodily resurrection)

Also 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 Paul tells us the gospel, Jesus death, burial and resurrection. This makes up the gospel.

The entire book of Acts we see the early Church proclaim they are Jesus' witnesses and they proclaim his death burial and bodily resurrection

You're in luck, hanging someone from a tree is murder.

Do not murder- not just the physical act but if you hate someone within your heart, like wishing them dead its the same thing.

A man tries to live a good life by following the 10 Commandments. By most peoples standards, even his own, this man is a good guy. But like everyone else he had lied before. He knows just one lie makes him a liar. But he lives on trying to keep the laws of God thinking to himself he is basically good, even though his guilty conscience tells him otherwise. He wonders if the god he believes in that smiles upon him doesn't care about his sin so much. But unknowingly he has committed idolatry making a god in his own likeness and doesn't even realize that the true God who has given him life and breath sees all that he does, says and thinks. This man is on the wide road like most of humanity that leads to destruction. Its great width and length make for a comfortable life until the end comes. Upon his death he wonders why he is being moved over to the side of judgment with the rest of the goats. The man realizes his perdicament and cries out, "Lord, Lord haven't I done good things in your name?" To which the Lords replies, "Depart from me you who practice lawlessness, I never knew you."

Please for your own sakes repent. If you have any questions that are hindering you from seeking Christ lets talk.

The 10 Commandments are relevent today, even as Christians. Though the civil, ceremonial and other laws ceased, like stoning people, this doesn't mean the divine law, the 10 Commandments are no longer to be read and followed. Anyone who becomes a Christian, doesn't do so to now somehow receive forgiveness then turn and live a life contrary to the 10 Commandments. Also this law if followed to ones best abilities but it cannot save anyone or cause God to forgive ones past sins by following them.

The old law written in tablets of stone was later written on the hearts of all those who would accept Messiah and turn from their sin to God. The law would now be written on their (believers) hearts. "I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts" Jeremiah 31:33. This is the promise of the New Covenant, God writes His laws upon our hearts, not merely on tablets of stone. A genuine believer becomes a temple of the Holy Spirit. Previously the temple in Jerusalem was made with human hands. It was God's temporary dwelling place, but it looked ahead to the true temple, believers. Jesus said "destroy this temple and in three days I will make it rise again" John 2:19. He died but rose again in his physical body and he had the marks to prove it. This is the hope of all believers, the future resurrection to eternal life with God.

"Unless you believe that I AM (ego eimi- the eternal uncreated God) you shall die in your sins" John 8:24.

You can read about the use of the law in Galatians 3:24.

As far as where I stand if judged by the 10 Commandments, I am guilty of breaking every commandment. I deserve nothing less then the pit of hell. If God is truly good and just as He is then my great offenses against Him leave me in a guilty state awaiting His righteous judgment. For God to overlook my grave sin without justice would make God out to be unjust. However if a mere human judge can see a guilty criminal get justice for rape or murder then how much more the God of the universe who sees all and is grieved.

About 8 years ago God opened my eyes to the truth. Around the age of 23 I read 3/4 of the Bible. I didn't understand it then but one thing I did understand is that I was guilty. I read when Jesus taught 'if you look at a women to lust after her you have commited adultery.' Though I was in rebellion toward God through wicked things I had done, God began to work in my life. Just a few years later God had changed my heart. Through hearing the gospel, that Messiah died for my sins as foretold by the law (example Gen 3:15) and the prophets (example Isaiah 53) I came to saving faith in Jesus (Y'Shua), but not only Messiah's death, but also His physical bodily resurrection (John 2:19). I am so thankful to God fo saving me because there was and is nothing within me to make me love God or change, let alone anything I could do to somehow pay for my own sins. My conscience bore witness to my guilt for 25 years and it was a burden to carry around all that time. When I received the gospel and God saved me that burden was lifted from me. My desire is now to live a life of submission toward my Lord Jesus and to do what is right. Where as before my life changing experience I could care less if I had offended God whomever he was.

Jesus did reiterate the greatest commandment, but also said their was one like it in importance, or equally great,

1. You shall love the Lord your God with all you heart, soul, mind and strength

2. You shall love you neighbor as yourself.

Most people consider themselves to be a good person. I have asked several people just in passing and with family members, and they have confirmed this. When asked, "Do you consider yourself to be a good person?" I have never heard I am a bad, horrible, wicked human being or anything even close to that. The Bible mentions this claim of most, Proverbs 12:15, 21:2.

Where do you stand however?

In light of God's perfect law the 10 Commandments where do you stand? If you're one of the many who thinks they are good here is the Good Test. Judge yourself and listen to your conscience.

1. You shall have no other gods before Me.

The one and only true God, YHWH, is the sole divine being we are to worship, love, honor and fear. He is the only one we are to submit ourselves to and praise Him alone for His own glory that He shares with no one. Have you put anything, ever before God? WHat's most important in your life?

2. You shall not make graven images.

Most people don't make idols with their hands, but most today do make an idol with their minds. They create a God who is comfortable with their lifestyles, their false ideas about God, create a god in their image after their own likeness. All false religions begin with the misconception of who God is. Also if you've broken the 1st Commandment you have broken this one also.

3. Do not take the Lord's name in vain.

Blasphemy. If you have ever said, "Oh God" or "Jesus Christ" when mad or upset to express disgust when you could have used some other word to express disgust this is known as blasphemy. No blasphemer will inherit eternal life.

4. Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy.

Do you keep one day in seven set apart for the Lord?

5. Honor father and mother.

Have you dishonored your parents? Disobeyed them?

6. Do not murder.

Not just the physical act. If you have ever hated someone within your own heart, you might be doing this right now toward me, you are guilty of murder. God doesnt just see our physical acts, He also sees out hearts and thoughts. 1 John 3:15

7. Do not commit adultery.

Not just the physical act. If you have ever looked at someone with a lustful eye you have committed adultery. Whether on TV, movies, internet or anywhere else, looking with lust checking out the anatomy of another with your eyes and thought life is considered adultery. If you have done this what does this make you? An adulterer.

8. Do not steal

Take something, anything that doesnt belong to you you have become a thief. It doesnt matter how long ago you stole for time doesnt forgive sin.

9. Do not lie.

Fibs, white lies, exaggerations, are all lies. Some people lie to make themselves look good to their boss, impress a girl or boy or friends, lie to get out of trouble, what have you lied about? Tell just one lie and this makes you a liar.

10. Do not covet.

All the commercials on TV try to get you to covet their products so you will buy them. What have you desired to have that others possess that you want for yourself? Please don't tell me food, because if you have the money to pay for the internet you have enough for that. Coveting is a form of idolatry. Colosians 3:5

Where do you stand after you have taken the good test? If God judged you by this standard of holiness, be honest, you'd be guilty as the rest of us deserving judgment. I'd like to hear from you. Where do you stand?
