I'm on the road to baptism, rite? By the way this is completely off subject. Anyway, something is telling me to stop before I make that leap. I just want to know everything. And now, I won't move any further in the organization. I have even stopped going to meetings and refused to have my study last week and this week as well. I feel a little stuck. Help me pls if you know what's going on and can help me or relate

I will and I've already been to Silent Lambs. It was horrible. I could barely stand to loo at it. But my mom ssays there are bad people in every religion.

But there are other really redeeming qualities about the religion. I mean, my mom would explain it like this, if someone does something wrong, you don't want them to taint everyone in the congregation so you shut them out until they are ready to change,. But you also try to help them. My mom sad that Jehovah has shut down Kingdom Halls because of a lot of wordly tings happening and it all started with one or a few people not listening to Jehovah.

A few doubts. Being a Witness is a serious commitment and lifetime dedication. I want to know the truth and I figured what better than a religion that calls itself the truth? And eveeryone seems so nice and everything. I just wanted my daughter to have an environment of love and understanding when it comes to God and really know what that is all about.

Thanks. I'm a bit nervous about the Elders finding out. Men are so harsh.

I think I'm gonna continue to hang with my sister. I'm not ready to write her off. I'm not going to. The Bible is all about family and how that is the strongest institution that Jehovah arranged. Then maybe I can appeal to the Elders on that aspect when or if they find out. My sister is my other half. My logical half. I have very little common sense. I was born with tons of book smarts and without a natural sense of what to do or any basic sense. My sister is low on book smarts and high in common sense. I recently bought a house and my sister is moving in with me. I'm not sure how the sister or brother that I study with will feel. I really don't care right now. That's awful.

I know for her it is complicated
by oblivious in"my girlfriend was raised jw she was'nt allowed to use the phone, and was brought up very strict to say the least.
she has a 4 year old daughter, and recently moved back home with her family were she lives in their living room.
she can't call me and our only communication is through emails, when she can sneak to the computer.

Not once have I tried. I only intended to defend myself. That's all. I respedt your decisions. If they were good for you, then fine. I do love my sister, I just don't want to get disfellowshipped. Does anyone understand what I'm going through?

You are a child yourself. Please waste no time worrying about another. And all I did was ask a question. You guys are attacking me because I'm studying. Do I attack you because you don't believe, no. I just needed some good advice.
