considering what has gone on at this board the last couple months, i thought this would be good to discuss !
it's true that some here are somewhat jaded and untrusting of others because of the deception pulled by " trevor" and the whole " trevorgate " thing.
that being said and acknowledged however , think about what makes us not trust others as ex-witnesses.

My sentiments entirely and i told inactive so yesterday I hope she still posts here. My stance is believe and trust newbies and older posters until given reason not to, Be especially kind to new ones, they have to unload and figure out. If my trust is misplaced I move on, after all it is not my credibility that has been damaged.

Sunnygal I was hoping it was,. Is it as you get older that you think what the heck.? For the record i am what you guys call salt an pepper, and all my own My 14yr daughter told me to colour it . I said no, I am happy the way it is.

so this is the day that princess daisy boo entered the world, 30 years ago.. last night, my mom called and in the course of the conversation she say something along the lines of " thirty years ago today i was in labour - how does it feel to be almost 30... and then carried on about something random.
so my question to you all is this... how do your dub family or friends acknowledge your birthday, or do they?

Non JW friends wish me happy birthday. JW wife forgets my birthday not important, but i did organise 50th Birthday party for her this year with family. I said it was her mums idea

i believe it happened inthe late 1970's but i'm sure someone would correct me if i am wrong on the date.. but, the blanket blood ban continues and women are still dying in childbirth unncecessarily around the world because they are jws.
if the boot were on the other foot, would blood transfusion be a conscience matter by now to keep jw men safe?.

I agree with you that if it was happening to men we would have new light and all would be well. I had this conversation with my non JW mum in law last night, who it turns out was very worried when my wife gave birth to our firs,t and we had similar issues. Fortunately both survived due to the skill of the doctor and midwife.
I agree with Scully their attitude towards women is egregious, and is the same in most religions.
