why do we go through all this trouble
by XOCO insince i was out in fs today, and i was thinking why do jehovah's witnesses (supposedly teach false doctrine) but they want everybody to live a pure and clean life.
take for example not to recreational drugs and for everyone to be moral christian way of life as in galatians 5:22 and 23. so my question is why make up (supposed false teachings) yet act as a goody goody christan?

this is the first time that i have gone out on a holyday, since i am not part of the english congo the foreign ppl were polite actually our CO in in town and like 50 ppl showed up to get encouragement from him i basiclly did returned visits and ask ppl if they spoke a foreign lang or not. and i hate coffee and everything was closed. now that i am home i'm blastin my ragga-punk-metal afro muisic till my ears bleed and posting on JWD. BTW i wasted my moms gas

I don't know the histroy of JW (or who started it) nor do i know who Russel or rutherford are? do u know somewhere specific that i can look this up?

It's all about how you get people to do the right thing.
but that's the thing i dont't get b/c their were ppl from christendom who were living a bad way of life w/o the direction of god and etc. but once the person learns about the false teachings they may or may not going back to their old habits and regret leaving the truth or jah therefore making the person come back to the dubs.

What Are Your All Time Favorite TV Shows?
by minimus inall in the family is one of the very best series, in my opinion.. when i see re-runs of the andy griffith show, i smile.
when i was a kid, i never really appreciated don knotts and the gang as much as i do now.. taxi was another favorite.
hill street blues was great.

i would like to thank everyone on their reply's it was so much fun & hilarious . in my opinion the "What Do I Want To Be When I Grow Up" vid was just an renactment of Timothy and they just added an old person who survived the holocost just to make the views feel sad it sure enough just made me

Babies get shunned
by Crooked Lumpy Vessel inmy sister was recently disfellowshipped and she told me that she was eating in a restaurant yesterday when the elder that disfellowshipped her was seated at the table next to her.
of course they would not breathe a word to her.
but her son (4 years old) had kept saying hello over and over to the elder and his wife and they both refused to acknowledge him, smile of even say hello back.

wow, this is just like reading the Scarlet Letter. in our KH we have 2 sisters that had a child out of wedlock and none of the kids are shuned only the mothers. SHOCKING!
