  One possible explanation for the change to CBS (& maybe other changes?)

  as has been noted on this forum and elsewhere, recent years have seen a flurry of changes coming to the jw organization, at blinding speed (at least, as compared to their usual glacial pace).. here's a thought that occurred to me as to why all these changes, all of a sudden.. 2 or so years ago, the gb had 11 members.

  since then, sydlik & barber have died.

  the votes for "drop the book study" were probably either 6-5 or 7-4 in favor - a majority, but not the required 2/3 majority.. now they're down to 9 members, and probably the most recent vote to drop the book study was 6-3. voila!

  Maybe they hired a Human Resource Polling and found out that 5 friggin meetings/week was too much for people.

  HERE'S A BOMBSHELL ABOUT THE 144,000 DOCTRINE......

  just when you think you've heard it all............in my research for my project, i was doing some digging around on the subject of the 144,000 and came across something in the wts's literature that absolutely stunned me and, being the generous soul that i am , wanted to pass it on to you to get your thoughts on this.. .

  we all know that the society teaches that the 144,000 mentioned in revelation is speaking of "spiritual israel" and not 'fleshly israel' or even other christians in general right?

  there are countless quotes throughout the literature that we are all familiar with that specifically state this, but to drive home a point, here are a few:.

  Witnesses stay for the convention and my wife tells them were divorcing!

  she told me hours before their arrival that she wants us to divorce....i asked her to not tell them as it would spoil our few days together and cause stress for all of us...she agreed.....and then told them on day 2????

  never listens!

  You might have time to "fix" the marriage...but do you really? Her statement "I want my freedom" has nothing to do with her religion, you or anything else. It's all about her. She will find that living as a single woman is hard work and not what she imagines it to be. It seems to me that she has made your life a living hell and you just might be surprised at how much more you can enjoy "freedom" than your wife. When she becomes a single JW she will not get invites to former friend couples as she will be a percieved threat. It will be pretty lonely...unless she has her eye on a brother to hook up with quickly.

  Can you threaten jws with getting police if they don't keep away?

  following on from my post re elder relative (hubbys) refusing to put his bible away and leave when i have a no religious callers sign up as he knows plus i am d'ad i am going to write to the congregation from us both andsay what happenned and not to call or itwill be trespassing and i will take further action.

  does anyone know if i could takefurther action/police etc orwould this justbe an empty threat?

  just wantto make sure they bog off and stop doing this to us, thanks!

  attached is one of my best paintings, a contrast between my brooding son and a happy dog.

  the dog is gem, my daughter's dog for over four years, who was just put down last week.

  i just learned yesterday, and i woke in the middle of the night, crying, wanting to give a tribute to her.
