  A COURSE IN MIRACLES~lesson #1

  i've been reading posts on this forum for almost a month now and one of the observations i've made is that the organizations's brainwashing is still deep within the minds of many of the posters here.

  feelings of guilt, hopelessness, fear are all residual effects of the mind control.

  when i broke free i came across a course in miracles by viking press that helped clear my mind and lay the path for a life of happiness and meaning.

  this is in a kinda agreement with some stuff i learned via yoga classes. that attachement leads to desire. and when the desire is not fulfilled, it leads to unhappiness. so the key is to manage to get to a 'neutral' place and see our surroundings with detachment. goodness...do i make sense here??? anyway, looking forward to the next lesson:-) thank you~

  again, thank you all. you all speak from experience and it shows. yes, i now know with certainty that if i choose to get baptised, i will live to regret it dearly. so, guess what??? i will NOT choose to get baptised:-) but now, all this has left me kinda deflated...feeling lost...without direction. i am only grateful that i stumbled upon this site at the right time.

  the doorbell rings, and it is jehovah's witlesses.

  this is not all that unusual, but in this case you have made it clear that you do not want to be called on.

  there is a no trespassing sign prominently displayed on your door, and they know you are absolutely not interested.

  When they hand you down copies of Watchtower and Awake...hand them down your copy of Crisis of Conscience. That should do it...

  i knew a sister who avoided nail polish because a householder didn't like it.

  she wanted to please the lady.

  this may seem trivial...but i gave up my beloved yoga and daily meditation {if i empty my head, the devil will come in...sure!!!} and my listening of mantras. and...i am soon going back to all of the above!
