Chinese witnesses don't have to worry 'bout that. The month names are literally "1 Month", "2 Month", etc. and it's similiar with the days of the week.
Buddhist holidays, on the other hand...
i'm asking because of their heathen origin e.g monday means moon's day, saturday=saturn's day etc....

how ridiculous the fear of birthdays is when read in a court transcript..... .
calhoun jewelers llc v. unemployment compensation board of review.
calhoun jewelers llc, petitioner,.
I read through the transcript (rolling my eyes through most of it). Perhaps I'm a bit slow, but I can't figure out if she will get benefits in the future or not (I'm not sure what was reversed). Could someone clarify?
it has taken me a long time, but i have finally put together an article outlining how i used the law to force bethel to send me my personal files.
it is a very long article full of scans, so i have linked to it at http://jwfacts.com/watchtower/experiences/personal-files-privacy-act-1988.php.
in brief, in 2006 i requested that bethel send me my files on the basis that the australian privacy act 1988 entitles people to receive a copy of any information a corporation holds about them.
Thank you for sharing your story and for all of your efforts. JW facts is a great site.
i'm sure you don't care, but i just had to post this because i was surpised that a has-been former pop singer would come to taiwan.. i was even more surprised that i found out about this from the ad banner that you see below.
the banner was here on jwn!
probably the first internet ad that i've ever clicked on.. .
@Scott77, Taiwan is actually my adopted country; I'm beginning my third year here. I'm originally from the U.S.
was reminiscing with a friend on facebook about our past and the thread concerning windows 7 got me thinking about the hours i spent writing programs for my trash 80 computer.
any other nerds like me who miss the old hardware?.
or does anyone miss anything from their younger days (not necessarily computers)?.
Ah yes, 1981: I'm a senior in high school, and we nerds hung out at the Computer Club at lunch and after school. I have fond memories of the Trash 80s, BASIC, cassette-tape memory, and our modem looked like this:
I miss text-based adventure role playing games.
Me too. I remember we could play those games with other users (I don't think it was called the Internet back then, but I don't remember) and we had to communicate via line printer.
i'm trying to compare some statistics and figures on this to share later in the thread to see if more long-time witnesses are exiting- or are newer witnesses exiting after a shorter period of time.
and - are more people exiting in the last 10 to 15 years than before.
so your answers would be helpful in looking into this .
I was born in, but didn't get baptized until I was 20. Went to my last meeting in 1999, age 36 (faded, not DF or DA, but mom and sister shun me. Eh.)
