by Mickey mouse inhttp://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?hl=en&ie=utf8&msa=0&msid=116388890922269468211.0004938b3329a3f3d0927&ll=54.876607,1.538086&spn=13.940068,39.506836&z=5.
i've created a map in google maps for people to mark their location, you don't have to put your real identity if you don't want to.. you need to sign in with a google account, click the 'edit' button and then drop a marker on your location.
add a photo if you like!.

ks10-e (official release), Letter from Bro. who scanned it! Newer version with BOE LTRs
by yknot inwhile an earlier version was made available privately the time has come to 'progress'.. conscious class and ex both strongly adhere to not keeping things 'hidden' in regards to wts publications, talks and documents which are circulated in order to maintain it's position.. another wonderful poster (who has yet to give me permission to name) has 'reduced' and 'bookmarked' the first full copy link i was given by our 'winner'.. in this newest and final 'clean' copy link you find two other additions besides the reduction/bookmarking..... the brother who uploaded the entire book wishes all to have a copy that includes both boe ltrs (pre-ks ltr and spiral binding ltr).
also another development has occurred.... the brother responsible for this book being brought into light and put forth for public consumption and discussion has requested i post this letter explaining to 'us' (jwn posters/global audience) and 'them' (wts of penn & ny).. i ask you give attention to his words/ experiences as he is representative of a newly emerging demographic within the conscious class.
so without further ado i give you his link and the 'stage' if you will to 'brother johnson'....... [link removed - contact ynot for further info - lady lee].

Thank you, Bro. Johnson. We understand and sympathize with you for the many years of sacrifice you've made, and we appreciate the sacrifice you're making now to help those seeking the truth about the WTS.
Of course, thanks to YKnot for passing this along. I wish I could hug you both.

The speakers at district assemblies were representatives of the WTS, not your witness friends chatting at McDonald's during field service.

I was born into "the Truth" in 1963, so I was 12 in 1975. I certainly remember the hype, and to my young mind it was fearful.
Yet, it was also exciting for me, since I was told that I would never go to high school in this system. If any of you have had the horrible experience of being a weird non-holiday-celebrating, non-team-sport-playing witness kid in school, you can appreciate the hope of not having to continue your education as an outcast.
I remember the excitement at the assemblies at Dodger Stadium (in L.A.) in the early 70s. The speakers did indeed frequently mention the number of months remaining (which made baking all day in the sun just slightly more bearable).
In 1973, my single-parent mom was disfellowshipped for smoking. I continued to attend meetings with my older sister (who was the one who had turned in our mom to the elders), but I was terribly upset that my mom was going to become bird food in just a couple more years. So, when 1975 came and went, it was actually a relief, since I still had hope that my mom would "come back."
I also remember for a time right after 1975 that the "we-don't-know-when-Eve-was-created-and-when-Jehovah-officially-began-his-'rest'-day" excuse was given for the delay. As the months, then years passed, this increasingly changed to the "no-one-knows-the-day-nor-hour-so-why-were-YOU-speculating-anyway?" tactic.
When I graduated high school in 1981, and the end hadn't come yet, I went a bit wild. However, I got pulled back into the cult a couple of years later with all the "this generation will not pass away" hooplah. I got baptized at that time, but 20 years later had had enough and left.
It's amazing to read all of the changes that have happened since that time (generation definitions, no more 1935 heavenly calling door-closing, etc.) and so liberating to read them as a free-thinking observer and no longer as a mind-controlled zealot.

Latest SAD--More Higher Ed Bashing. Did you know it's one of Satan's False Refuges?
by Cadellin inwell, folks, this little mermaid just got back from the sad she had to attend w/her husband so as to keep a measure of peace (we're in the process of working out compromises...you know how it goes) i was pretty mad by the end of the day (thank god it ended at 4:00) mostly because i learned some new things that i would never have guessed in a million years.. did you know that satan is setting up artificial "refuges" as a counterfeit to jehovah's "true refuge"which is...his organization???
now satan's "false refuges" are pretty damn bad, like, for instance, "independent thinking.
" no, siree bob, we don't want none of that!!

I'm actually getting kind of good at blocking it out. I took my note pad and worked out the outline of a postmodern short story I need to do
for a class. Looked like I was taking notes like a bitch!!!

Thank you Steve2 and Wobble for those succinct and reasonable comments. After decades of believing what the WTS says about the bible, I'm glad to recognize and use common sense again.

Need help locating WT quotes aginst private research etc...
by Aussie Oz ini have spent a bit of time in the wt cd and forum search looking for passages where the wt soc discourages personal research as i have seen a number of references to this on the forum.. i find lots of pro research using the soc publications naturally.
encouraging the r&f to use all the publications etc.... perhaps i am just not using the right search words.
where can i find writings against one spending time with encyclopeadias, the internet and reading the bible alone etc.

That September 2007 Kingdom Ministry was a doozie for me. Although by that time I hadn't been to a meeting in about 8 years, that particular QFR convinced me of the cultish nature of the WTS.
