  My 1 year anniversary on JWD was Thursday...

  wow.. a whole year already...that was like a whole new beginning for me when i checked out this site.. i was never a lurker, just signed up and posted from day 1. stumbling onto this site was like opening up pandora's box... what a ride folks...

  I Just Have to Share This

  my estranged hubby and i have a brilliant 18-year old daughter who has been working since the age of 16. she received a full academic scholarship plus numerous monetary awards for her high school achievements.

  needless to say, she's built up a nice little nest egg.. estranged hubby has always been an exceptional father.

  for instance, when baby girl needed an abacus in 3rd grade, he made one for her.

  I wish my sister's girlfriend and her ex hubby could be like you. I am watching their 2 yr old today because he keeps trying to kidnap her. He thinks because she is a lesbian she isn't a fit mother!

  My hubby is a wonderful dad too, much better than my elder father.

  Is JWD #1.....My Therapist....his first advice on JW's, me, and divorce

  i have told my new therapist so much about jwd, some of the insightful comments here, and how much it has helped me and other dubs that we both now wonder if there are other jw help sites.

  i really don't know as this was the first and only one i ever found, and it was just what i needed.. he has pegged me well as impatient, and knows i was vocal about my wake-up from jw.

  his advice right now is to back off totally on trying to help any others, and i have told him that many here have said no one will wake-up until they want to for some reason.

  May I suggest finding nonJw friends. Maybe you have a hobby, or somebody at work. This really helped our family in our trek out of hell. The change was barely noticable as far as socially goes.

  What about an ex-jw meetup in your town?

  Ya'll have raised a wonderful contribution to society. Sadly that doesn't happen every day. And I love the fact that you and hubby are estranged yet able to act like grownups and parent together. Way to go!!!

  when i joined jwd i still felt the need for a 'support group' and jwd was full of similar people wanting to share their experience.

  now the time has come for me to leave - i am now able to put 35 years of jw living completely out of my head.. .

  many factors have helped me, and jwd was an important part of that, and i will always be grateful to simon for setting up this forum.. .
