  it goes without saying that a bunch of us on this forum are misfits and freaks.

  To be fair a lot of non-JWs are crazy as well. Just check one of the threads about the paranormal.

  I kid, I kid. We're all crazy, just to varying degrees. I'm just grateful that I get my half hour of computer time after each electroshock treatment.

  it's ok.... to post here on the internet, on jwn, and other jw related forums.. first of all, as we all know, the governing body doesn't provide a forum for jw's to "associate" with their brothers and sisters.

  i'm just guessing, and i could be wrong, that its harder to control the flock when they have free access to information and each other.

  damn electricity and the technology it brings..... anyway, i realize that for anyone leaving, or for practicing jw's, to post is a nervous thing.

  I don't post much but I'm still around after completing a successful fade... especially enjoy the scans of old and current literature, and keeping up to date on every new zany scheme the WTS comes up with. Thanks to everyone who shares.

  uk schools doing ufo crash drills..... the latest ufo drill took place wed, sept 29, at sandford primary school in the uk.

  the kids were treated to a full ufo crash scenario that included wreckage, police tape, and real police officers.

  (perhaps it was only lacking men from the government telling the children not to talk about what was seen.).

  It's a sticky situation, because there are negative ET's, which the corrupt governments like the US have been working with, and there are benevolent ET's, who are sincerely interested in liberating humanity from their control. They have been coming here to help keep the negative idiots from blowing up the planet, which has happened, it appears, to many worlds in our galaxy in the past, including Mars. But they have been limited in how much they can interfere because if they violate our free will, it would have disastrous consequences for the entire galaxy. The dark elite are nearly bankrupt and their time for domination is nearing its end, and so they have been put on notice that they MUST prepare the public for disclosure with the intention of a peaceful surrender.

  Well, when you put it like that, I guess that makes sense.

  i just had someone mention casually that the jimboys' tacos chain was started by a jw.

  i was curious (we were talking about jimboys' dumping recent issues of the sacramento news & review because of a photo of two gay men on the cover... see story here: http://www.newsreview.com/sacramento/content?oid=1040008).

  I heard over ten years ago that at least one of the Jimboys here in NorCal was owned by a JW in my old hall. Not sure if he started the chain or if he just owns a franchise, but the JW connection has been there.

  what the eff is a jimboy's? Why not eat real mexican food like Taco Bell.

  Because, according to the commercial, "Sometimes you just gotta have a real taco."

  My morbid fear of rejection ...

  it probably all began woth having no father or male influence during childhood to tell me how well i was doing.

  as a youngster the most unpleasant task involved knocking as a jw on doors of people who didn't want you there and being told i was not welcome.. it went farther than that.

  before conversion, mother had grown up as a salvation army disciplinarian and most everything i did was wrong or unhealthy according to her.

  Many others have similar fears. One school of thought suggests a cure in the form of experiencing a large amount of rejection in order to learn to cope with it.

  For example, getting a telemarketing job, or knocking on doors as a Jehovah's Witness.

  As my interest wanes............

  all things jw and xjw and even xxjw are beginning to bore me.

  tonight, in an effort to stimulate my interest, i cruised back thru threads of the past month or so.

  while i found a couple topics of mild interest, and a couple more in which i found it worth effort to make personal comment, i was mostly bored.. i have come to grips with my past religious history.

  I hear ya AK Jeff on the boredom with JW issues. I came to this forum after working out most of my JW issues for a couple years on other forums. So I've been much less active here on the JW front than I have been in the past... as it is now I mostly make smartass remarks or offer an opinion on some news story.

  But don't let that fool ya, there was a time I was quite the master debater.

  To be honest about the only reason I care at all about JW issues is because I still have family in.

  Well, that's not entirely true. I also care because analyzing it helps me to understand the forces that made me who I am, since I was raised in.

  From the article BTS posted:

  One of Crowley’s neighbors supported the sergeant’s story, saying that the police report that said Gates was belligerent was not completely off the mark.

  I don't get it... why would the cop's neighbor be able to verify any of his story? Did the cop take his neighbor along with him on the call?

  Or was that a typo, and Gates' neighbor was the one who witnessed the scene?
