In which year were publishers allowed to report only 15 minutes?

i am trying to account for some of the growth trends of jw's and was trying to find out when jw's were first allowed to report only 15 minutes field service in one month.

i think it was early 2000's but can not be sure.. .

Florida woman fired for saying Merry Christmas instead of Happy holidays!

foxnews reports that a florida woman was fired for refusing to say: "happy holidays" she insisted that as a christian she use the term christmas.

i have found others with the same view.

though one witness sister was fired from a smallgoods company for refusing to say "merry christmas.

Happy Holidays" is incredibly insensitive and insulting to me, since I don't celebrate any holidays. How dare you show such intolerance and hatred!

i just have to tell this story.

it's too sad not to.. so, this morning, i'm packing lunches and my jw hubby is standing next to me making his breakfast.

he starts sining "oh tannenbaum, oh tannenbaum" then hums the rest.

Tannenbaum actually means fir tree, no relation to x-mas. But it is usually sung at x-mas time.

whether is during a sports game or seeing 19:14pm i just can't help but smirk.

on a bad day it works with 19:19 and 19:25 too.. .

does this happen to you too, or am i just a freak of nature?.

have posted this on the other thread but just making this one as well:

i need to let you know that dad passed away this morning at 8am.

he fought so hard but in the end they could not get his blood pressure to rise and he died of heart failure.

This is so sad. This morning I talked to my wife about Ians illness and now I have to read that it has already had a bad end. I had hoped otherwise. Thanks for keeping us informed which must be hard for you. It is good that JWD is still up so that we can keep in contact. Ian was more than a very loved discussion board member but many of us have met him in person. Please accept our condolence.

just to let everyone on here who knows my dad, that he is seriously ill, and unfortunately on life support.

he has renal and respiratory failure as a result of the quickest onset of pneumonia i have ever seen... it came on in the early hours of this morning.

he is waiting for an intensive care bed but the nearest one is 200 miles away.

Please take also my best wishes to Ian. I have met and spoke to him in Weston-Super-Mare back in the old days. I am sad that he is not well at the moment.
