Paul did not write anything over a few words because his eyes were bad
How can you be so sure? Take a look at the footnote of Galatians 6:11.
i understand from a 1981 edition that paul wrote hebrews.. not so, i understand that its style is different from paul's letters and that early church fathers say that barsabbas(sp)alias joseph, a levite from cyprus(hebrews does mention the jerusalem temple).
i humbly suggest that the wt buys a niv study bible and toss all those factually inaccurate sources out of the window

There are 8 Mio. sold in Germany - and it's incredible.
the wts teaches to avoid the bad association of people who used to be jw but left the organization.
r&f are instructed even not to read their material.. in connection with the exhibitions shown in europe about the jw persecution in hitler germany, johannes wrobel, head of the watchtower history archives at the german branch office, in a speech quoted well-known apostate hans-jurgen twisselmann on his opinion on the stand firm-video.
twisselmann wrote several books on jw and runs the website http://www.bruderdienst.de.
I would like to add that some of the JW telling their life story for the JW in the Stand Firm campaing were inactive during the last years considered weak members in their congregations. They were reactivated by touring Europe and telling their story. But there are not that much exhibitions any more at present.
About the shunning: it is mentioned. In some concentration camps there were two groups of JW. The hardliners and those who had a more liberal view on somethings (what you can do and what you can't). Of course, the hardliners DF those who did not hold their view. And so there were some JW in the camps that were shunned by other JW.

In connection with the exhibitions shown in Europe about the JW persecution in Hitler Germany, Johannes Wrobel, head of the Watchtower History Archives at the German branch office, in a speech quoted well-known apostate Hans-Jürgen Twisselmann on his opinion on the Stand Firm-Video. Twisselmann wrote several books on JW and runs the website http://www.bruderdienst.de
I was present at an occasion when this speech was given by Wrobel and he seemed to feel uncomfortable when mentioning the name but mention he did. The talk was also printed in the German edition of the book "Persecution and Resistance of Jehovah's Witnesses During the Nazi Regime 1933-1945" ( http://www.edition-temmen.de).
The WTS bought hundreds of the book to donate it to libraries and VIPs.
There Twisselmann is quoted in a footnote on page 372 calling the Stand Firm-Video "a professionally made documentary" and a "propaganda movie". Twisselmann quoted by Wrobel is similar to find a quote from Randy Waters in a talk by Pellechia.
There is also a German book on the Kusserow family written by Hans-Werner Kusserow. This book has also been advertised by the WTS at exhibitions. In the foreword, the authors states that he used to be a JW but that he now has a neutral status while he is neither DA nor DF.
I strikes me that the WTS makes good use of inactive ones and even publicly quotes apostates.
is true, that the jw in the us can celeberate the birthday?
is this new light from wt?
who know more?
The was QfR of Watchtower 15th, 1998 they said that there is "good reason that mature Christians don't celebrate birthday". In my opinion that means that you get not DFed for it but you are considered "not mature" and won't get "privileges".
well, weve been in our new house now for almost two years, and we finally got our first visit from the witnesses, a couple of days ago.. two very nice middle-aged ladies stood on my doorstep, asking me would i accept their two magazines for free?
- they were old issues from january well, how could i refuse?.
its gods will that zebras are striped and thats the beginning and end of it.. for an educational magazine this is just a disgrace.. can you hear the voice of the great teacher in this?
JWs are for all intents and purposes illiterate.
Hmm, most of the participants at this board were JW. Did they become literate when becoming XJW?
I think when you are a JW you find explainations for all kind of stuff:
"There are people out there who need it written that way."
"The contents is too deep for me, I just don't understand."
"The brothers preparing that stuff do more research than me."
"Okay, this is maybe not correct but the light gets brighter."
But deep in your mind you keep thinking about it. When things don't get better the day comes when you say to yourself: "What a BS."
i don't know if this has been posted on this site yet, but i came across something that indicates that congregations in germany were sent a letter of explanation (or rather, deception) about the societys un connection.. scroll to the end of page -- .

can someone do a better translation from german to english?
at this late, middle stage of my life, i've started wondering, now that i know what i know, about the things in my life that i "lived" with.
having been raised all my life in the "borg" i have known nothing else.
when questions began forming years ago, it started me thinking.
On the issue of fearing abandonment: do any of you feel the flip side of this fear - the ABILITY TO ABANDON, to cut people off fiercely and absolutely?
I have been able to notice this ability at my parents and unfortunately at myself. We really have zero contact with our non-JW relatives. Now, all of us have become inactive and somehow that has led to that at present nobody really talks to anyone within the family.
It's really sick.

i was wondering:.
has anyone seen any of the governing body lately?
how is their health?
Several years ago there was an International Convention in Berlin in the Olympiastadion. Albert Schroeder needed two helpers to take a long way to the stage - one on the right and one on the left.
I was not there, but the CO later used that view to attack 'those who want to live a comfortable life'.
